Hello Dearest Friend,

Today is a relativly nice day; the sky is a clear aqua blue, no clouds whatsoever; the birds are singing and lastly, no one is in a sad mood. The soldiers are ususally very sad and in a depressive state...now it sounds like I'm discribing His Excellency. I'm very sorry for writing about his, and hope that you can forgive meAlmighty Father. Now back to the matter at hand, what was I talking about again-oh yes, the weather.
It finally feels nice to take a break from drafting letters and such. Today Lafayette and I had lunch together, in a clearing some ways from the camp. We talked about alot, well he mostly talked aout himself.
Things like, how much he loves America, how much he truely admires and respects His Excellency and how he doesn't care that he isn't getiing paid for what he's doing. He's very dedicated towards what he truely belives in...I can't help but envy the guy a little.
I secertly complain about alot of things; like how the food is utter terrible, how I can't seem to ever get a break, and how my fellow aids are nothing but a rouge colony of monkeys! Forgive me Father for ranting and raving about my present situtation...I'm so ungreatful.

I should write again shortly my dearest friend,

Alexander Hamilton

weather, alexander hamilton, war, friendship, breaks from work
