So skip now to last week. Spring is here with a vengeance, and Sydney is a pleasant place to be, but I'm running out of things to gawp at, and I'm giving serious consideration to moving south. My original plan to remain in the area til New Year was always a flexible one, and lately I have been inundated with suggestions of other places to visit. ( Read more... )

Ah well, well done and all that. I'm not sure I entirely agree about skyscrapers esp older builds, you're more at the whim of 'others', although statistically safer (?). At least when you're doing what you were doing you can check things with your own eyes and use your own judgement. But I suspect we're all more likely to go "splat" when taking a car journey anyway.

Your niece is going climbing and abseiling and biking at the weekend. I suspect she will be very gung-ho about it, will report back. T'other one will defo be very jealous when he reads this post of yours, you know what he's like about climbing and so forth. Mad about it.

By the way, having trouble reading the black text when it goes onto the dark blue from the light blue.

I haven't abseiled since they Navy gave me a taste of it in basic training, it was fun, but that first step is the big one. Mind you their way of doing it is just to have you and the ropes etc on a disused railway viaduct 100' high.
