So on the weekend I went to London. (freaking 2.5hour train ride)
It was amazing. Evrything is just so... giganitc... and gorgeous. I was there on Saturday and when England got kicked out it was unreal. At around 6ish the streets just filled up with a red&white sea of angry poeple. I thought it was a riot, there were cops everywhere, but apparently riots are a whole lot worse. I saw the whole city in <48 hours. We would go somewhere, stop for like half a second while Tina (my 2nd cousin?) told me what it was and then move on. I plan on going there regularly and over the year I'll go back to each place and explore and do proper sightseeing and shop and see shows. ok. I passed theatres showing: Les Mis, Mary Poppins, Lion King, Phantom, Mamma Mia, Blood Brothers, Footloose, and honestly there are at least 10 more. I didn't let myself set foot in any of the museums cause I knew I would be there all day. I went to London Calling, a music festival in Hyde park. There were SO many people, it had to be thousands... the headliner was a (really good) cover of Dark Side of the Moon, but Starsailor was soooo amazing. I have a week off coming up in August and now I can't decide what to do. I was gonna take a train to France but now I'm thinking a week in London would be possibly cooler (and less expensive. Tina lives in Zone 2, 10 minutes to London bridge, like 10 seconds on the underground to anywhere) Anyways the distant family are really cool and said they would love me to spend as much time there as possible, and I will. And I'm going shopping tomorrow in Plymouth cause (thank God) I have Wednesdays off, and I'm gonna see a travel agent about early booking deals for Christmas... and possibly go home for 2 weeks ish. So I like life right now.
