Wilson quickly finishes knotting his tie and steps out of the bathroom.  Lee and Andy are in the living room.  “Rest of the guys should be here in ten or fifteen minutes,” House is telling

Happy, happy, joy, joy. You already know how much I loved this fic (even the nutty way you numbered the chapters).

I'm glad that Princeton apparently has the country's most efficient legal system so House didn't have to spend a whole week in court.

I'm glad that House is going to recover completely.

And I'm so glad that House and Wilson have new friends.

Well, keep in mind this was the *assault* trial. As one of the star witnesses in the trial for Isabelle D's murder, he'd probably have to block out at least another couple of days. One reason I decided not to write it. Plus I was, you know, out of stuff for House to say on the stand.

Oh, I can't believe it's over! I'm going to miss this fic. Temas and Lee, and this version of House and Wilson... I was hoping for a longer epilogue, though I'm glad with how things turned out. It was great seeing this House slowly come out of his pod-person shell, and how strong his and Wilson's friendship was. Wilson's caring and House's "true" spirit were the two thing's I'll remember from this fic.

I hope that if you ever feel like you miss them too you'll come back and play with this universe a bit more - a random one- or two-parter here and there, showing us how their lives continued after this, short spin-offs.

This was definitely one of the most gripping fics I've read. And I know you haven't been posting it around, otherwise it would have probably gotten a lot more comments - now that it's done, you should definitely post it to housefic and house_wilson. I'd suggest you write up one post with the links to all the parts, and link to that

You're right, I haven't been posting this around. I wonder at what point I left off? I suppose you're right, I should make a post with links to all however-many-chapters there are. I wonder how long that'll take to do?

I did it to all my fics a while ago, and it took about an hour - but then, I posted nicely formatted summaries and story details and everything. If you only want to make a Post Trauma post, not all your fics, it shouldn't take you much time at all.

Another thing you could do is go back and tag your entries. If you tag all your Post Trauma entries as "post trauma", for instance, then whenever someone clicks on the tag all the chapters will appear in reverse order.

There, done. I just posted a link to the links post on the comms, because I found making 26 LJ links a somewhat arduous process.

And I bet now new people will start bitching about the bad formatting of the first three chapters. Oh well.

Oh, Yay!

I'm so glad you've finished this--it was really a wonderful read, start to finish. I liked how these last couple chapters you had House coming to realize what happened in the clinic more slowly, unlike his bouncing back and forth between normal and pod-person like he did earlier. It felt more like his healing would stick, somehow.

And this story makes it easier to read sheep's Weird Creepy Story, knowing that House will make it out of that rehab hell, eventually.

Not just Weird Creepy Story, our sheep-person is doing "In the Mouth of Madness" which is about House's actual time in rehab. I would find that one unbearable if I didn't have the comfort of knowing that Alex healed House. And realistically too -- no waving a magic wand and there's House, all better.

Awww....I loved this fic. So glad that we got our House back--I was worried there for a while! I read H/W almost exclusively for smut, but this story was so well-written that it hooked me in!

Really impressive round up. I agree with the other two that you should post it up for a wider audience. I love how you've had House use "Jimmy" at the end, that to me just signifies that things are on the right path. Plus having him call Wilson for take out sounds exactly like something he'd do. It was really good to see that you didn't make the verdict cause House to have a magical instant recovery and instead went with the more realistic and emotional slow recovery.
