Team Whimsy is getting along so well that I had lots of extra whimsy leftover to use in this fic. We have whimsy to spare!

Oh, oh, oh. I love this story.

But in the middle of Ianto’s painfully earnest presentation about the future of the tiny species, he’d been reminded of the Doctor’s benevolent interest in humanity.
Yes! That was what I thought as well, when Ianto said they had to help them. It's so fitting.

“One small step for a Jam Jar Person, one giant leap for Jam Jar Kind,” Gwen said.
EEEEEEHH!!! What a Gwen thing to say. :-)

A few months, the second Aurora Year since his Great Flight had ended, and...
I think there might be a word missing? "A few months before/after/earlier..."?

I'm curious, what where the Auroras? I can't think of what they might be. What did you have in mind?

You should share this at torch_wood or doctorwho.

Ah, I worried that wasn't clear, but I couldn't think of a way to make it clearer. The auroras were Ianto dusting the jar every week. After he put them in the sealed tank, he only had to dust the outside of the tank itself, which is too far away for the Jam Jar People to see, hence, no auroras. Until they invent a better telescope than what they have.
