Alright, so I want to try something.

There is a website called Audioscrobbler. This website offers plugins for pretty much every music playing program. Whenever you play a song on said program, it automatically gives this information to the website, creates graphs, and offers recommendations. There are also groups on this site, and it composes lump statistics for everyone in the group. What I would like to propose is that everyone in Marquette that listens to music using a computer program make an account and join the Marquette group. I just think it would be really cool to have a big chart of what we're listening to up here. Please, take part in this, and if you can, tell others to do the same.

First, go here. Look at the top of the page, and go to both "Sign Up" and "Download a Plugin:"

Make sure that you have the newest version of your media program before installing the plugin. Some have had problems with Winamp in particular.

Once you've got an account, and you're sure everything works, go to the link below. When you're there, near the top it will say "Members: #" and there should be a button that says "JOIN GROUP." Click on that.

Like I said, I simply think this would be really cool if we could get it going. If you agree, try it out and pass on the word to anyone else you think might be interested. Some of you with bigger friend lists may also want to paste this into your own journals, since mine is relatively small.

Cool.
