561: It was an interesting kind of day

Morning:

A girl from class asked me if I was Mexican, I said my parents were. Which should be translated to "I'm of Mexican descent." She followed to tell me she thought I was of of Asian heritage. Thought I was Chinese or Japanese because I had a "funny, strange accent" when I spoke Spanish and had a "certain look" to me. I already knew about the accent but being confused with a different ethnicity was a first, so I chuckled at that.

Later in the day:

I was speaking to a classmate who's much older than I am. She asked for my age, I asked her to guess.
"19-21?"
"No, I'm 26."
She was surprised, said I looked fairly young for my age. I smiled, "I get that a lot."

I enjoy these interesting kind of days ♥

my own: always a first, my own: that's life, love it
