like, it's years later, he starts to feel stupid--still hung up on her after more than a decade; dean looks at him so sadly sometimes when he walks away from girl after girl; she was the love of his life but she'd want him to be happy--it's 4 am, he's exhausted and drunk, he pulls up a jpg from their last christmas together, it's pixelated and blurry but he wonders what he'd look like without her arm around his shoulder, so he cuts her out, very carefully, catching all the curls of her hair, and he presses the delete button, and her ant-crawling empty outline stares back at him, and he feels himself start to choke, he ctrl+zs as fast as he can, lets out a breath, puts his head down on the keyboard, tries to muffle his sobs.
