Polyamory and a kink map
I've been reading a lot about polyamory lately. It seems to have it's fair share of landmines--poly relationships get complicated, fast, and can be emotionally fraught--but I think it's certainly a valid arrangement. Makes me wonder about the cultural pervasiveness and expectation of monogamy all over again (I seem to revisit this topic frequently). Anyway, Franklin Veaux has an excellent web page up that is very informative.
He's also got an amusingly (disturbingly) thorough map of sexuality; I was happy to note the City of Harry Pottersville on fanfiction island...
Also, I've discovered Reddit and seem to be moving at a nice pace through the infatuation stage. I love the geekiness of it. I just wish there was a better ratio of intelligence to dross in the comments.
