I went to Pune on the MUWCI bus today. A truly exhausting experience. Unfortunately, the trip did not yield its only purpose: the finding and buying of shoes/flipflops. This was truly disappointing as my current footwear is sadly on its last legs so to speak and tends to come apart whenever I stub my toe. I am managing for now and will continue my search in the coming weeks.
Still, the trip to Pune allowed me to become the proud new owner of a wooden bunny rabbit that almost hops as it's wheeled around. Of course, I am merely the transitory owner as it will quite soon become the possession of a little boy in Northern California, 'til then, I get great joy out of wheeling it around the courtyard giggling with glee.
I also picked up a set of colored ink bottles with which I can have even more fun with fountain pen doodles. Or go for ink drawings if I want. I'm curious to see how white ink works...and to playing with my new set of colors!
Other than that, I didn't accomplish much today. I did have the lovely experience of returning to my childhood and rewatching the Sound of Music. It's great fun to sing along, make fun of the badly done scenes, and generally enjoy watching an old favorite movie that you know all the lines to.
I love lazy days.
