So . . . I finally did it!!
After cutting my hair the shortest I've had it in years, and in a really modern style, I colored it for the very first time this past Tuesday. I went with a slightly darker brown made very rich with some red, and then some rather brighter-than-I-was-expecting red highlights on top. Wow. It's really red. Not quite as orange as Lucy Ricardo, but maybe just as bright. Maybe it's just the difference that's getting me - ya know, a very dramatic change. Don't get me wrong, I think I'm gonna love it, it's just taking a bit to get used to. Most people say it looks really good on me, and I really hope they aren't just being nice. There are a few who say they also need to get used to it, and then decide, so that's really cool. Mr. B hasn't said anything other than "Wow, that's red." Oh well. My hair, not his. I can't wait to see what my family says - it should be interesting!!
