You know I always want more recs. :-) These are AWESOME! I would SO go see "The Sword of Doom!" And that OST poster with the mermaid with Jack's hat in her hair... EPIC EPIC EPIC! I also really liked the first one with everybody and the super minimalist AWE one with the rocks.
That's what I want to hear. *g* I loved OST poster since I saw it for the first time, around the trailer release. It should be the official!!! :-D It's better than the 'real' ones were. And yes, I smiled seeing the one with rocks for AWE. I like also another minimalistic, by cjal3x.
I once made an icon based on an idea I had for the DMC poster before the actual promotional ever came out in late 2005, but I'm too cheap to pay for extra userpics so it's not on my current use list. Basically, from the back, half-silhouettes each of Jack and Will on each side sort of stepping into the poster frame, from foot up to shoulder or halfway up the arms, at least - Will holding a sword in his dropped hand and Jack, a pistol, with the logo somewhere between them and "Summer 2006." It was an awesome idea, LOL. The actual icon didn't turn out how I envisioned the poster, but I did my best with what I had, and a cheap PS knockoff program.
*tries to imagine* You mean, the frame smaller than the silhouettes? Sort like here? Or just halves of silhouettes visible and only one frame, the real one? Hmm, interesting, I'd like yet to relate/connect/link "Summer 2006" with them in some way, maybe drawn with swordcuts and pistol smoke... Posters are fun. *g* Have you noticed how many people points at minimalist posters as a great idea? Your icon including. I wonder if moviemakers should consider something. ;) On the other hand, they wouldn't be so interesting, if not that they're alternative and not-mainstream...
