Let's try to live as evolving beings in the 21st century, divorcing ourselves from the pettiness and general arrogance that comes from being raised in a comfortable, middle class world where we never had to ask for anything or be expected to produce anything of merit. Let's pretend that glossing over our faults is a bad thing and that bringing the truths of our being, the insecurities, the loneliness, the dreams and hopes of our inner hearts is the only way to see one another eye to eye. It isn't make believe. It's the only way you can believe that there are more meaningful and fulfilling ways to live your life, that it isn't wrong to trust, isn't stupid to love, and isn't a waste of time to try and make this world a different place.
