aim...
ok, so i was really, really stupid and didn't rationalize this aim link i got yesterday...it was from a high school friend who's one of the groomsmen of the wedding i'm going to next week, and it said "i uploaded my pictures, here take a look (insert link)" something like that.
at first i was thinking, why is simon sending me pictures? what are they pictures of? and then i thought, well maybe it's for the wedding or something...
and then i clicked on the link.. and nothing happened.. and that's when i went 'oh shit'
and i IMed him and he confirmed that it was a virus.
sigh.
now i'm just hoping avast picks it up. i scanned it last night, but maybe it didn't do a full system scan. i'm scanning it again this morning. and melissa said she's gotten it before and her mcafee picked it up, so it should be ok, since it's an older virus.
either way, i'm swearing off aim for a while. if you need to contact me, there's email, cellphone, and this journal.
