Okay so I'm very, very glad you responded because not only did you bring up a lot of interesting points, I get to see what kind of things you notice! Which is excellent for that whole thing we're planning ... that I spent the morning thinking about.

Anywho, onto this post. For number 1. I completely agree with you. Mostly, I don't like seeing completely sweet, fluffy Draco. I abhor it with a passion, unless it's in one-shots and they're meant to be fluffy and OOC, that I can take. So, seeing a Draco who's cunning and, well, slightly cruel in his methods was really refreshing. Draco killing the guy, well, at first it didn't sit out of place with me because the first time I read things I read them for enjoyment and I certainly enjoyed the plot twist. Reading over it slightly disturbed me a bit that he could have killed this guy in cold blood and left him in such a state that Harry was ill seeing the picture AND that no one suspected that the prisoners had done it. flamewarrior's comment says exactly what I think about this subject.

Number 2. Well, I can't really add much more to what you said, because you put it so eloquently and so bloody perfectly as I wanted to say and from now on I'm so going to pass your points off as mine, FYI.

Number 3. Exactly. What. I. Thought. Except, having a brain like sieve I completely forgot the name of that Bay thing and I wasn't so happy about writing 'Hey, people, y'know that Bay thingy-ma-bobber that peeps from America take peeps to that's not in America. Yeah, that's what its sorta like.' Because, y'know, if I had people would probably have laughed me off the face of the planet.

Number 4. Hermione, for me, was so perfect in this fic, the same way Ron and Harry were. Harry was jaded, Ron was frustrated and seemed rather angry with his lot in life, and Hermione was just as stubborn and determined to do the right thing as ever. Frayach put Hermione across the way I imagine her: believing in something to such an extent that she'll argue and fall out with friends because she knows it's wrong and isn't able to stand by while these other people do something that's wrong. I don't know, maybe it's only me who Hemrione always appeared like that to but maybe it's not.

Anyway, I liked her Hermione. :).

And, who doesn't love a good ramble?

Exactly. I can really picture this characters forming out of the canonical ones as a result of a long, drawn out and futile war. We still get such a sense of familarity and love between them, even when they are fighting, that you can't help but see them as a natural progression from those in the books. Lovely. Also, I breathed a sigh of utter relief at the lack of EVIL!ron/hermione that seems to crop up in such a lot of h/d fic, seemingly (to me at least) that the characters have been completely butchered in order that Harry and Draco get to have a lot of sex! I mean I wouldn't complain, but there are more believable plot devices out there, and I love Hermione! *pets*
