Eight random things
I got tagged by Des on MySpace and juliannef on LiveJournal, so I figured I'd better come up with something for this game.
The rules:
* Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
* People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
* At the end of your blog, you need to choose (8) people to get tagged and list their names.
* Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
1. I took French classes all through high school, and lacked just one course from having a minor in it in college. I was quite good at it. I am now extremely out of practice, having not spoken it in several years.
2. I'm addicted to Wikipedia. I mostly make small edits, but have written a few articles almost in their entirety.
3. I used to be a Nancy Drew freak. I loved it whenever Nancy got into trouble: that thrill of danger even when it was one I'd read before was great. The Crooked Banister was probably my favorite. I read a few Hardy Boys books and always enjoyed them, but was, not surprisingly, more attracted to Nancy. I wondered about this then - why should I like the books about the girls more than the boys? I identified more with with the female characters, but I didn't think about it in those terms then.
4. I am definitely a cat person. I have nearly always been owned by at least one.
5. I play the djembe (a goblet-shaped African hand drum) in a drum circle.
6. I think Jeremy Brett is (was) Sherlock Holmes incarnate.
7. I prefer to be barefooted whenever possible. Apparently I've been this way since I was an infant.
8. Irises are my favorite flower, esp. deep purple bearded irises.
I don't know yet who all I'll tag. I'll add that later.
