This is a no-brainer crockpot recipe:
Ingredients:
2 packages "Simply Potatoes" shredded hash browns (about 2# of potatoes)
8-12 ounces shredded sharp cheddar or blended cheese
8 ounces sour cream
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
1 pound bacon, cooked & crumbled (I usually omit this)
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Put potatoes in crockpot. Put everything else on top. Mix. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until potatoes are tender.
This recipe has been
altered from the original - the margarine and sour cream amounts have been reduced. ; ) This is what I'm making for Thanksgiving pot-luck.
