Dresses update
The red linen is nearly finished. I have to put the lacing rings on and then hem it. Sleeves still to do, although worked out exactly which design I will do. The velvet turns out to be velveteen, but still a good buy.. and still a good dress.
The skirt is together, and the bodice, lining and canvas are cut out. In the process of sewing them together now... they will be a dress by tomorrow night....
X is happy I am using the overlocker on this one. The velveteen frays easily, so I figure for the longevity of the dress, especially as it will be one used for camping events that overlocking the seams is forgivable... I usually don't and then handsew the seams down. However I don't have the time at the moment....
