About my injury and more
Hello everyone. I figured it was about that time that I step up and let you all know about my injury. As you know, I was scheduled to wrestle for a few shows recently and could not make it, or was taken off the show due to injury. Some promotions are working around the injury and others have expressed that it's best to take full time off and come back when I can be 100% and ready for anything. But so that you don't think I'm "no-showing" or that I'm faking, I thought I should let you all know what's been going on.
As some of you may or may not know, I have been back and forth to the doctor, specialists, hospitals, etc. for atleast 2 months. I had a host of problems but the worst being the migraines, constant headches and extreme nausea. I finally saw a nuerologist and found out that my cervical spine is sprained amongst some other stuff. It was brought on due to muscle spasms, etc. BUT....the good news is that in such a short time I am already making progress. As soon as these muscles loosen up a bit, my the buldging disks should go back into place and the spine will heal fine. I should be going back to my chiropractor soon enough and then I will start to heal even quicker as he doesn't just do spinal manipulations but physical therapy as well.
I am still going to be at most of my scheduled bookings.....some I WILL be wrestling and some I will be there working in a different capacity....managing, reffing, etc.
Last night at DPW, I had my title stripped from me due to not being able to compete. But don't worry, I will have the gold back on my waist as soon as I am well enough.
More than anything I am bummed....wrestling is my life. To have to take time off or not being able to go all out wrestling, sucks. But it could've been worse and for that I am very grateful. It's also made me put things into prospective, so though I'm not going anywhere when I'm back-back......you will be seeing a new side to Alere.
For those who sent stuff from the wishlist..I KNOW it's been a while and I AM SO SORRY!!! But with all the health problems, I put it off. I should have them all sent out on Friday the 16th or early Saturday morning the 17th, so expect the pics a few days after that.
