*twitch* I volunteered to help enter data from a recent ice fishing survey into the class database in exchange for bonus points. I have something to say to the people who wrote out these data sheets...
Dear Data collectors,
1. Print NEATLY, after 100 sheets or so I really don't feel like having to squint to read your horrid hand writing.
2. The fish lengths need to to be in millimeters ok? NOT inches. I need to convert all lengths that are in the incorrect units, looking at 20 lengths that all need to be converted does not make me a happy person.
3. You need to put a number of by the type of fishing rod use...an X, an slash mark, an yes even that funny shape are NOT numbers.
4. Write where you are on the lake please, it is like 5 miles long and no a mark on the map is not ok, the various docks are not labeled so it does not help me, just please take the extra 2 seconds and write your location.
5. I need the time ok the TIME! After dark, dawn, morning, and evening are NOT accurate times people.
6. Take care of you sheets, this ones looks like to was used to wipe of fish guts, not only are filthy data papers hard to read but they dirty up my desk D:
No love,
The girl crazy enough to volunteer to do this
