One semester down, three to go. Christmas break has been good but busy/hectic. There was a lot of traveling involved but it was good to see family and friends. And Evan and I have gotten to spend a lot of time together. :) It's been great.
This week I'm trying to get samples processed but the drying oven isn't cooperating. Hopefully it will all get done soon.
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? -- Well, the biggest would be getting married :) I also graduated from Central with my bachelors degree and started my masters program at Grand Valley State University. Went down to Tennessee and stayed in the Smokey Mountains also got to go into North Carolina and Virginia (two states I had never been to).
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't think I made any and I don't plan on making any this year either.
3.Did anyone close to you give birth? My cousin Kim and Aunt Deborah. :)
4. Did anyone close to you die? Not that I recall..
5. What countries did you visit? don't think I left the country this past year
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? well.. I didn't really lack much this year, I had love, friendship, family and happiness.. which is all I need... but I guess I could use a little boost in the financial area :-\ -- I'll agree with Ashely on this one :)
7. What date(s) from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory? August 7 -- I'm sure there's others but this is the big one.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? graduating from Central, getting married, and starting my masters program
9. What was your biggest failure? can't think of anything off the top of my head
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? no major sicknesses that I can think of -- I did sprain my ankle last summer
11. What was the best thing you bought? Evan's wedding band
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

14. Where did most of your money go? gas money, school books, wedding (a lot to photography) and who knows what else :-P
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? my wedding/honeymoon :)
16. What song will always remind you of 2004? amazed- Evan and I danced to at our reception and keeper of the stars

i. happier or sadder? happier
ii. thinner or fatter? probably fatter but I plan to change that
iii. richer or poorer? oh definitely poorer

20. How will you be spending Christmas? I spent the weekend before Christmas with two family Christmas's on Evan's side. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning together in our Grand Haven apartment. Then it was across the state stopped at my cousin Kim's to see some of my mom's side of the family. The day after Christmas was the Striler family Christmas. Then up to Standish for Christmas with my mom and Mike. We also got to see Leigh and Becky and Chris before coming back to Grand Haven -- Needless to stay my Christmas break incorporated a lot of traveling but it was nice to see family and friends. :)
22. Did you fall in love in 2004? I had already fallen but I stayed :)
23. How many one-night stands? none
24. What was your favorite TV program? The OC - Jessie got me hooked! The last season of Friends. There were others that I watched but those are the two that I can think of off the top of my head.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? hate is such a strong word - I try not to hate
26. What was the best book you read this year? umm... some Nicholas Sparks books, A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson, some Stephen King books
27. What was your greatest musical discover? not sure
28. What did you want and get? a lot of things, i got a nice carhart coat from my mom for Christmas and some nice blue topez earrings from Evan :)
30. What was your favorite film of this year? there's many :)
31. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you? I turned 23 and spent the day with Evan :)
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? if Evan would have gotten funding at State so we could live together all the time :)
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? jeans with a t-shirt and or sweatshirt or shorts with a tank top or t-shirt

36. What political issue stirred you the most? I try to avoid politics -- but I do feel strongly about environmental issues
37. Who did you miss? I miss Evan when he's down in IL - I miss not seeing friends a often as I'd like as well as family
38. Who was the best new person you met? Nichol, and some others here at GVSU
Who was the worst? I dunno...
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: you really can get through anything and together with the one you love that loves you, you can make anything and everything work
