The day before yesterday, I made chili in the slow cooker. I've never made it before. It tasted really good! I didn't completely by a recipe, because all the recipes seemed to be missing one ingredient or another, so I just sort of winged it.

And yesterday, I made pork chops with a beer gravy. I was kinda wondering if this was going to turn out bad.. but it turned out really good!

4 pork chops
1 can of mushroom soup
2 tb dry lipton onion/garlic soup mix
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 cup beer (I used Granville Island Honey Lager)
salt and pepper

Cook pork chops mostly all the way through on each side in a pan, add onion during this. After, mix the rest of the ingredients together in a bowl and pour into the pan on top of pork chops and onions. Simmer for about 40 mins. I served with brown rice and corn.

Again, I just sort of winged it. I love winging recipes and they turn out good!

Not sure what I'm making today, but I have ground beef de-thawing and I'm having a no carb/no sugar day.. so this could be interesting ;) I had an omelet for breakfast, and now I'm eating some carrots and zucchini with a dip. Dip has no sugar, fyi :)

Lynsey is coming to visit tomorrow!! Hurray!!
