House went to great lengths to fool Kutner and Taub. And that resuscitation scene was really priceless. LOL. Also I can't help being happy about making Chase and Cameron his accomplices. Hee.
I like what you say about Cuddy being off balance because of what she's going through. That makes sense.
Now that I think about it, I liked a lot also House's reaction when she offered herself to him: he covered his refusal with such an obnoxious comment that I think he spared her some hurt (plus, the desk was a nice touch).
However, in my own twisted opinion, his refusal didn't seem driven by fear as I was expecting, but by the fact that he really wasn't interested (remember when you want something and then when you suddenly have it it's not that interesting anymore?). Like it was more about the game for him than about real feelings. Or, rather, he has feelings for her, but affection doesn't necessarily equal love.
However, it would be very in character for him to cover up his feelings anyway, so I'm probably just seeing this through slash-tinted goggles. ;)
