Moonlight Flowers

Chapter: 2/?

Rating: NC-17 overall.

Bands: Alice Nine, The GazettE, some OCs

Pairings: very fluid pairings, mild Tora x Shou in this one.

Genre: AU, angst, supernatural

Warnings: male x male, violence, suggestiveness, group sex, non explicit blood-play, adult themes, foul language.

Summary: Can two rival vampire covens learn to coexist in one small city? For Shou, head of the powerful Alice Nine coven, it seems like a rather complicated task.

Commentary: I meant to post this during the weekend but then life happened, blergh.  This chapter is actually pretty pointless, just setting up some relationships and detailing coven life and setting up a couple plot points but in essence nothing really happens…except non-explicit sex. Eh. I hope you guys enjoy it anyway xD.

***

Shou stirred awake as the sun was setting.

He could see that vivid edge of red underneath the thick blinds, and amazingly enough Tora was still sleeping by his side.

Shou held his breath, in awe, because never before has that happened.

Tora hasn’t fled, like he usually does, disappearing for the night. Usually to roam the nearby forest, to find his meal, and then to the city, his powerful bike roaring in the night, shattering the stillness, to find some quiet place to brood for hours on end.

A moody tiger to the very end.

Tora was still reticent to feed on humans. Even the most willing kind. Despite the fact that animal blood was a very poor substitute for the human kind, dampening his full potential.

Remnants of his own very present humanity. Only three years since he has been turned. A blink of an eye in vampire years.

Shou closed his burnished copper eyes and remembered Tora’s very first kill. His only kill.

He remembered it like yesterday, so vividly.

Tora’s eyes, wide and soulless.

Just a few hours after his rebirth, waking ravenous and uncomprehending, that craving for blood stronger than anything else. Stronger than reason, feelings, common sense. Just that animalistic desire, obliterating everything else.

Shou had left him unattended an hour too long and two teenagers that had broken in the secluded apartment where Shou had hidden Tora, hoping for a TV or jewelry to steal, had paid for his carelessness with their lives.

The blood, everywhere, so messy.

So messy and Tora’s face so pale, smeared with blood, sitting in the corner of the room where the carnage had taken place, eyes more animal than human. He’d killed them both with brute force, windpipes crushed and bodies bruised, throats torn open.

Carnage.

Tora had remained in a catatonic-like state for weeks after that, curled into a ball in a corner of Shou’s bedroom in the manor house. His lambent gold eyes void of any emotion.

Except fear. Fear and incomprehension.

Weeks. Until his skin was translucent white and his body atrophied, too weak to move yet refusing nourishment. Hiroto suggested they put him out of his misery, Saga agreeing, and even Nao. Soft hearted Nao, so compassionate, could not bear to see that pain.

Why are we keeping him alive when he so clearly wants nothing to do with this world? Nao had reasoned, full of his usual common sense.

Shou had refused. Tora was his responsibility, blood of his blood, and after a whole month, nights and days of pleading with the prostrate creature huddled in the corner of his room, he finally managed to coax Tora into staying alive, feeding him some of his blood.

Not proper nourishment, like feeding candy to a reticent child, but it had been a start.

It had been the beginning of an uneasy truce, and Tora’s life as a vampire.

It wasn’t perfect yet, nothing ever was, but he couldn’t help but appreciate the fact that for the very first time since Tora even came to be, he’d woken up still held in the warm embrace of his arms.

Tora would slumber with him sometimes, even agree to have sex with him, giving in to his needs. But he was always gone before sunset.

Maybe the events of the previous night had shown Tora that he could feel. That there were parts of him that were still human and vulnerable, that needed to be comforted.

He held his breath when Tora finally stirred awake, and then a sigh when the tiger’s hand on his flank sleepily dipped down to his belly, pulling him closer. Pressing his narrow back to his chest, and this time Shou could not hold back the indrawn gasp when Tora’s sleep aroused body pushed against the small of his back.

As much as the rest of the coven indulged in carnal pleasures with each other, Tora had always kept a bit of a distance. A distance they were starting to breach with him, getting him to give in to his urges, his desires for physical gratification and affection. He gave in to Saga’s plight for kisses, let Hiroto crawl into bed with him, submitted to Nao’s soft caressing hands. But it could be a bit of an uphill battle with the withdrawn newborn vampire.

Clearly this morning was a little different.

“Tell me why…”

Tora’s sultry low voice against the back of his neck caught him off guard and he squirmed, startled. But Tora’s arms kept their steady hold.

“Why didn’t you let me die? That night when you turned me…”

He was never afraid to ask the hard-hitting questions, uncaring of place and time. Sharp as a blade, always. Shou loved that about him. Still the question caused Shou to pause all other thoughts of hazy physicality.

“Why ask now?”

“Because you killed yesterday. You haven’t killed since I’ve known you, and I want to know why you decided to turn me. I was just like her, once.”

There was a pregnant pause.

“Do you still grudge me?” Shou asked, not quite answering the question, not sure if Tora really wanted to hear the answer.

Tora’s arms tightened around him, and his breath brushed against the shell of his ear, lifting plumes of caramel brown hair.

“Yes.”

That was Tora, hard hitting reality, never pulling punches yet there was kindness to him. There was that tenderness to him that was just longing to get out and that was the part of Tora that Shou needed right now.

“I was never made for eternity, Shou. I was meant to live fast and burn bright and crash and die in a shower of sparks. This eternity as a blood-drinking animal you’re giving me is a heavy burden.”

Shou sighed, feeling the arms around him loosen and withdraw, Tora’s body pulling away. Taking heat and comfort and his lambent desire with him. The tall raven-haired slipped out of bed, naked and glorious in the dim light, pale skin and lean muscle.

So graceful when he bent to retrieve his tight leather trousers from the hardwood floor, muscles dancing in his arm and back, where a huge tiger was permanently inked into milk skin. His entire back, hips, spanned with elegant lines and textures, bamboo leaves, and that snarling feline that had become his identity, shades of orange and gold, bold black stripes, green eyes.

“You were too beautiful to kill.” Shou murmured, giving in, “You were too beautiful and so broken and I wanted to fix you. The only way I knew how.”

I wanted a soulmate.

Tora smiled sadly at the admission, just a quirk of lips that never touched his eyes.

“That was a little selfish, don’t you think?”

“It was. And look, I am well punished for my selfishness don’t you think? You hate me, don’t you…” Shou remarked, a mirthless chuckle escaping his pale lips.

Tora looked up then, meeting Shou’s deep copper eyes with his own, knowing that the distress was genuine. He didn’t have to look, he could feel it deep in his gut, that bond between them stronger than mere physical presence. He let his clothing fall back to the ground and ambled back to the bed, still completely naked, and aroused. So aroused, cock hard and heavy between muscled thighs.

Shou sat up in the cooled sheets, eyes closing when Tora’s hand cupped his jaw, softly, with a heady measure of that tenderness he craved so badly.

“I don’t hate you. I just don’t know how to feel anymore. I don’t know how to deal with myself and I’m scared.”

“Let me guide you, stop putting all those barriers in the way and just let me, us, guide you in this. We were all newborns once...Let me comfort you…”

“I don’t know if you can. I don’t know what will.”

“Let me try. We can comfort each other, we both need it…”

Shou felt it in the pit of his stomach when Tora yielded, finally letting his guard down, and joined him on the bed again, thoughts of leaving forgotten as he let himself be kissed. Long and hard, and then pulled down until his body was pressed tight against Shou’s own slender frame.

Such a perfect fit, their two bodies. Tall and lean, all legs, Tora’s hips fitting just right between his thighs when Shou rolled onto his back and Tora followed.

“I need you…” Shou whispered against Tora’s ear, body arching up when the raven haired’s hot mouth found the crook of his neck, pointed canines pressing against his jugular vein.

He could feel the hesitation, slick tongue pressing against his sedated pulse, and threaded his fingers through lush dark hair, wiry soft between his fingers.

“Its okay…feed.”

That was all the permission Tora needed, sinking sharp teeth in the tender skin of his neck with a relieved groan, pain and pleasure blossoming all at once, pulsing down his entire body.

The initial bite always stung a little, but the subsequent feeding was pure pleasure.

Drinking each other’s blood was a very intimate gesture, not really meant for sustenance, strengthening the bonds and allowing for a deeper psychic connection. Sharing blood was limited to closely bound covens, and lovers.

He stilled as Tora drank his fill, caressing his hair, and the nape of his neck, and let himself sink into that blissful haze of heat and pleasure, let all of his emotions from the past night seep into him for Tora to absorb and comprehend.

There was no need for talking then, when they could share thoughts just as easy as their lips could form words.

Shou smirked as Tora latched off, lips red and swollen, eyes as bright as green gold, filled with a mixture of desire and thankfulness. For the thoughts shared, for allowing him to understand better, for the vulnerability that Shou let him see.

“I didn’t think you could still feel that way…” Tora murmured, brushing strands out of Shou’s eyes.

“I still have a lot of compassion in me, I was human once…I still am in so many ways. You have to give me the time to show those sides to you.”

Tora nodded, awed and a little chastened too.

“We just need time, Tora. Everything takes time. Stop thinking for now…just…”

He moistened his lips, a flick of tongue on his own sharp teeth, and then his fingers were tracing Tora’s smooth neck, and collarbones, and they both shivered with need.

“Just…make love to me.”

There was a slight smile curling Tora’s lips at the words. A smile that did touch his eyes, before leaning down to fuse their lips.

There were no words after that, just exchanged breaths, and shared thoughts, and the sleek entanglements of their bodies. Shou’s deep moan as he sunk down onto his lover’s body, slow and slick, hips arched, Tora writhing and gasping underneath him, eyes like forest fires.

Tora’s hiss as Shou’s sharp teeth finally breached his milk skin, just above a rosy nipple. A slow joining, hips rising and falling, the both of them sweat slick and breathless. And then that all encompassing mutual bliss as they both came, the orgasm only intensified by the fact that their minds were one.

Don’t fear me. Don’t fear us.

It wasn’t the first time for the both of them. But this time was special, the connection between them stronger than it had ever been, and it made their tryst so much more fulfilling for it, that slowly cultivated orgasm so satisfying that his entire body felt boneless and perfectly sated as he spilled between them.

He watched Tora slip into sated sleep in his arms and smiled.

They were making progress.

***

Shou didn’t stop Tora when he left a little while later.

The raven haired had some thoughts to process, and Shou respected his need for space, only making him promise to come home early if he was heading out, for there were important news to be shared, with all of the coven. Besides, he felt like he had made quite a bit of headway with his youngest underling, especially when Tora paused to kiss him, cupping his face with both hands, soft and sweet, before slipping out of the room quietly.

He was sinking back into boneless sleep, hoping to catch a little more rest. Unfortunately, the two other troublemakers in his coven had other ideas. He heard them sneak into the bedroom without even using his heightened senses, young vampires had the subtlety of elephants as far as he was concerned, and groaned with displeasure when they both jumped on his bed and trapped him underneath warm bodies.

“And I was hoping to get some more shut-eye…” he groused, groaning when Hiroto elbowed him in the stomach in his mad scramble to get underneath the blankets, chuckling as he tangled shorter legs with Shou’s own and shoved his head of silver-pale blonde underneath his chin.

Saga was a bit gentler, snorting as he plastered his chest to Shou’s back, burying his long nose in wild caramel strands.

“Well you certainly need it after that fun we heard you getting earlier…”

The tone was teasing, but there was surprise too, a bit of awe. They all were very much aware of Tora’s distance, of his struggle with his nature and of Shou’s efforts to integrate him in the coven. They were always a little amazed when Tora actually gave in.

“You heard?” Shou asked, feeling his mouth curving up despite himself, remembering the intense pleasure, wrapping both arms around Hiroto to keep the squirming blonde still, snorting when he just burrowed deeper.

Saga’s breath teased his shoulder, a long fingered hand tracing his flank.

“I even felt. The strength of your bond, that intensity between you two. It was so strong and complete I felt it, it was…”

“It was beautiful.” Hiroto finished, mumbling against Shou’s collarbone, reading Saga’s thoughts.

“It really was.” Saga echoed, agreeing, “do you think that Tora is making some progress?”

Shou nodded, careful of the head shoved in the crook of his neck.

“We’ve made some headway. Nothing is perfect yet but we’re getting there…”

Which was a good thing, considering the news he had gotten the night before and had yet to share. The coven would have to show a united front.

Saga’s fingers squeezed his hip, comfortingly.

“That’s good to hear. But does that mean you’re too exhausted for some sleepy early evening fun…” Saga teased, hips pushing forward.

Shou chuckled, feeling Saga’s very perky arousal push against his lower back, hot, velvety flesh. Letting go of Hiroto he reached back with one hand, up Saga’s thigh until his fingers wrapped tight around his cock, pleased at the sharp hiss. Saga pushed against his hand, a slow thrust of hips.

“I may be a little too drained to fuck you, we shared blood too, the orgasm just exhausted me…but I wouldn’t mind seeing you and Hiroto…”

Saga groaned at the words, hips pushing demandingly.

“I really want to get fucked…” he whined, “Hiroto won’t fuck me.”

Hiroto scoffed from his own comfortable position plastered to Shou’s front.

“And miss out on the prostate orgasm? Pffff…I’m only fucking you if I’m in the middle of a threesome, you can forget it otherwise.”

Shou sighed, rolling his eyes, giving Saga’s cock a last hard squeeze before pulling his hand away.

“You two are like children. Perverted children.”

“Does that mean we have to call you daddy?” Hiroto teased, pushing his own aroused cock against Shou’s belly, making the elder question if he really was that drained after all.

“That would be beyond twisted…Not that it would surprise me from the two of you perverts…” Shou chuckled, extricating himself from the heated tangle of limbs, snorting as the two younger vampires in his bed whined and writhed and ended up all tangled with each other for warmth.

“Besides, only Tora could actually call him daddy…” Hiroto mumbled and Shou just scoffed at the ridiculousness of the statement.

His skin erupted in goosebumps at the coolness of the room, cursing that his vampire nature had never quite made him immune to cold. Vampires were just like humans in that sense, although more resistant to extremes, some loved it, others hated it, and he belonged to that latter category. He picked up his heavy robe from the padded bench that flanked the foot of his large bed and shrugged into it just as the door creaked open, Nao letting himself into the room.

The other elder was barely dressed, dark sweats and no shirt, baring a muscular expanse of creamy pale body, buff arms and toned chest, barefoot, his raven hair spiking haphazardly in all directions. Still looking rather sleepy.

He let Shou enfold him in a soft hug, mumbling something about warmth and his bed being too empty, and then finally gave attention to the writhing bodies on Shou’s bed with a sigh.

“How come there’s always people in your bed? First Tora…you two woke me by the way, and now these two…”

Shou shrugged, snorting.

“I don’t know, maybe mine’s more comfortable who knows…wanna join them?”

“What about you?”

“Too drained.”

Nao smirked then, the corners of his eyes crinkling.

“We can both watch then…”

***

Breakfast was a pleasant interlude, in the shape of a lithe, pretty girl pushing open the door and groaning at the display, eyes rolling to all heavens.

Pale skin and pink pouty lips, button-nosed, with long silky-dark hair and deep set eyes the colour of black pearls. The very image of healthy youth.

Fumiko was born into the coven. In the actual house, delivered by Nao himself when the doctor failed to arrive in time.

Her mother, Mayumi, had served all her life, still did, and her two children had followed in her footsteps. Fumiko and her twin brother Keisuke had recently turned eighteen, their official coming of age celebrated high and low by the entire household, which gave them leave to actively participate in the coven’s affairs. The daytime running of clubs and other businesses the coven owned, amongst other things.

Their duties when it came to feeding their vampire hosts however, had started much earlier, at the tender age of fifteen, which in retrospect might have been a little young to get mixed up with creatures that entwined feeding and sexual pleasure so closely. Not that there was any use worrying about it now, they had taken to those duties like fish to water, much like their mother had in her youth.

Virgin blood was hard to resist, all the stereotypes about old perverted vampires preying on beautiful young girls and boys were somewhat true, alas.

“Can you guys keep hands off each other for more than an hour? Seriously…” she groused, stepping into the room, otherwise unaffected by the rather heady display of the four naked bodies entangled on the large bed.

After a few minutes of observing the two on the bed, Nao and Shou had caved and joined, letting Saga get his much desired and whined-about fucking.

“Its all their fault Fumiko, you know how they are…” Nao explained, pointing at Saga and Hiroto who both chuckled in response, not even bothering about covering his nakedness.

She was used to it, unfortunately. The bare skin and the sex, the intimacy.

Far too much for an 18 year old girl. But she had grown into the coven, nothing could really faze her anymore, it was a reality of living with vampires. Besides, letting them feed on her was close enough to sex, in its own twisted way, she was far from innocent in that aspect.

“And you have no responsibility whatsoever for joining in?” she questioned, sitting at the edge of the bed, unzipping her cream coloured hoodie and pushing it down her arms.

She wore a dark tank top underneath, pale grey sweatpants, and not much else. No point ruining fancy clothes with dripping blood. Besides, she would be heading to bed after this, like the responsible young girl with school in the morning that she was.

“You know no one can say no to Hiroto’s puppy eyes…” Shou sighed, sitting up beside her and dislodging Saga from his sprawled position all over him, making the tawny haired vampire groan and whine.

“I have to agree with you, no one could say no to precious Pon-Pon…” she teased, earning herself a slight swat from Hiroto whose head was laying right beside her thigh.

“That nickname is anything but majestic…” he groused, smirking despite himself.

It was the nickname she had given him as a child, because according to her five year old self, his white blonde hair definitely looked like a pom-pom, and unfortunately the nickname stuck.

“How was school?” Shou asked, running fingers through her  long hair and pulling it back in a neat ponytail when she handed him the elastic wrapped around her slender wrist.

“Boring, as usual. I can’t wait to go to college…”

“Did that boy proposition you again?” Saga asked, tugging on her shoulders to coax her down to the mattress, shoving his nose in the crook of her neck with a pleased hum.

She snorted.

“No, thank god…I did make it clear to him I wasn’t interested.”

Saga clucked his tongue.

“He sounded like a nice boy, why not give him a chance?”

She smirked at his statement, removing her bracelets and watch.

“He was nice I can’t lie, but no boy can really compete with the five of you when it comes to handsomeness…Okay enough talking, I have to get to bed!”

She sat up again, facing Shou on the bed, and just like she always did, gave him her hands to hold, until she was completely prepared.

“Ready?”

She nodded with a smile, her entire body relaxing as Shou used his psychic powers to send calming emotions to her mind, and then the soft pressure of his hands on hers to soothe her, render her completely boneless and in a semi-dreamlike state.

Awake yet completely relaxed.

She barely even moved when Hiroto gently picked up her hand in his, bringing it up to his mouth,  latching to her wrist, gently licking at the skin before breaking it with pointed teeth.

Her head lolled back when Saga gently cupped her jaw with one hand, gently tilting it to the side to get to her jugular vein and there was the slightest of shivers down her spine when Nao started feeding on her other wrist.

No pain, just hazy heat as they carefully took their sustenance. Feeding could be violent, and brutal when one was starved or weak, but for vampires carefully catered to like they were, it was more heady pleasure than anything else. Only drinking what they needed.

“You’re not feeding?” she asked Shou, a sultry murmur, her eyes heavy-lidded.

“I fed on Tora earlier, don’t worry.”

“That’s not a proper meal…He didn’t come to wish me goodnight.” she pouted.

Tora had always adamantly refused to feed on her or Keisuke, no matter how much they offered to let him, too afraid of losing his control. But he would always sneak into their bedroom to wish them goodnight before he disappeared. That was another thing Shou had to work on with him, feeding on humans.

“He had a lot on his mind baby, don’t worry, he’ll be back to wish you good morning before you leave for school tomorrow.”

He could still feel Tora in somewhat close range, just at the edge of his already busy mind. If he’d gone hunting, he wasn’t far.

“Okay…” she breathed, letting her eyes flutter shut.

Saga unlatched first, mouth coated red, and softly licked at the punctures until they closed, his saliva speeding the skin’s healing process. The area would be mildly sore the next day, but her skin unmarked.

Hiroto and Nao followed, hunger sated, and she gently fell back against the bed, numb and drowsy and pleased, hands of various shape and size soothingly caressing her all over. Offering her blood to her vampire hosts was just as fulfilling for her as it was for them, Shou made sure of it with great care.

“Hmm, I’m sad I didn’t get to see the tiger…” she mumbled.

Just as she’d uttered the words Tora appeared in the open doorway, slipping by mostly undetected by Shou’s mind as he was too busy keeping Fumiko relaxed. He’d changed, black jeans and a knit sweater, his ebony hair waving in silky profusion down to his broad shoulders, still damp from the shower. He acknowledged the rest of the coven with a little tilt of the head, not that they couldn’t read his unease with their way of feeding, he did avoid attending when they did, too afraid of what the sight of human blood would do to him. Then all of his attention was on the young girl on the bed.

“You don’t really think I would just go and not wish you goodnight baby…” he asked teasingly, sliding into the bedroom, a few strides of his long legs taking him to the side of the bed where he crouched down, bringing his face close to hers.

She grinned, sleepily, her dark eyes blinking a few times.

“Tiger…you’ve come to tuck me in?” she asked, drowsiness giving a childlike lilt to her words.

He smiled, enough to show sharp canines, reaching to caress her pale cheek.

“Of course baby.”

He stood, and gently slipped his arms underneath her, around the middle of her back and underneath knees, lifting. She didn’t weigh more than a feather to him, with his supernatural strength, and he easily cradled her against his chest. She giggled girlishly when he heaved her a little higher and started to carry her out of the room.

“You’re like my prince charming…” she murmured, sleepily, and he snorted at that.

“If only you knew the old me…I’m anything but charming, baby.”

They both disappeared from the room, murmuring nonsensical things to each other, and Saga sighed audibly.

“Look at this guy…swooping in like a goddamn prince…” he grouched.

“You’re just jealous that Fumiko and Keisuke idolize him.” Nao teased, rolling out of bed and making his way to the bathroom to start the shower.

Lazying around was well and good, but the coven had important things to discuss.

“They haven’t known him from their earliest days like they do us, its normal that they see him differently…” Shou explained, patting Saga’s shoulder comfortingly before rolling out of bed himself, “Come on boys, time to shower…”

“But I don’t want to get up yet…” Hiroto whined, echoed by Saga.

Children, the both of them. Despite the fact that they had enough years behind their belts to be considered elders. Two hundred years for Saga, and a little over two hundred for Hiroto.

“If you haven’t joined us in five minutes I’m dunking a bucket of cold water on you both.” Shou threatened, padding across the floor to join Nao under the strong spray of blissfully warm water.

Children. But he was reassured in the knowledge that they would show all the maturity that was expected of them when he would announce that their old rivals were back in town.

For how long or what reason he knew nothing of yet, but they would have to find out.

***

So yeah nothing happens at all pretty much xD Well, some connections are established, especially between Tora and Shou, the whole complexity of their relationship is touched upon but there's still a lot to learn about these two, Shou's motives and Tora's old life. Oh and I gave Tora a tiger tattoo because its hot and it would suit him and yeah.../bricked.  As you can tell Hiroto and Saga will be providing most of the comic relief because…yeah Saga is Saga xD He has a skill to loosen up the atmosphere, but don't you worry, his sexy self will make an appearance too. The rival coven have yet to appear too, but that will be in the next chapter. So did you guys enjoy this one? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading y'all xoxo
