Stop all the world now.....
So Im at my sisters house watching America's Next Top Model because I got into when my mum had a tv in her room at the hospital and thought id drop in and update my lj- although im not quite sure if anyone will check it since I havnt updated in ages.
Ok so here goes, last week we had to take my mum to the hospital again because she was having trouble breathing so that was ok because everything seemed ok but then last Friday she had a keyhole operation which messed her up fully so she had to be taken to ICU.
On the Saturday night she took a turn for the worse so they had to put her on a breathing machine to help her breathe because she cant do it by herself, shes sometimes alert and can understand what you're saying but she cant talk.
Yesterday was the worst day of all because the drs got the results back and turns out my mum does have lung cancer. The dr has said that she can have cemotherapy (sp?) but it will only give her more time and not fix the problem.
Mum did nod when they asked if she wanted to do that but im not sure if she realises it wont fix her. The dr is coming to see her again tomorrow along with us because my mum wants to rest tonight and not have any visitors.
The way she communicates is through nodding and shaking her her but today one of the nurses actually got her to write a little bit which is good.
We have made good friends with another family whose husband/father is in the bed next to my mums which is cool because they are always up there at the same time.
And also the nurses are really nice which is good but Kristy mainly talks to them, I just do it when I have too.
So thats whats going on.........
