Today was the day to celebrate my birthday at work, finally I get my paybacks for that $2 a month racked I am stuck in. I asked for Brownies, simple right, no hard to screw up right? Wrong! This crazy lady who runs the fund refuses to just have a simple normal birthday, she always has to try a new recipe. Despite my telling her I reaallly just want freakin' brownies she served - a pie made of brownie with the insides carved out, topped with pudding topped with whipped cream then the brownie insides were sprinkled on top. This might sound great to some people, but some people like me are lactose intolerant (which I've stated before) pudding is not a great choice and I dont like whipped cream. Therefore I was eating the crust and picking out soggy brownie pieces. Ugh, I have to endure the other 21 birthdays a year pretending to like the weird desserts and I can even get my birthday normal like I want it. Is it a crime to like plain brownies? Does this make me a terribly boring person??? Am I being whiny and selfish to just want my birthday treat the boring way I want it? Rant over =)
