Good (and not so good) Genes - For fun only

Feb 09, 2012 10:09

Even though I'm not planning to enter the challenge at GOS, I couldn't resist the Good Genes temptation ;)
(and of course, I had to make a lit' game/story-ish out of it. lol)

Warning: action quotes, speech bubbles, walls down, showing grid, insim items on scene, badly used screens, poor lighting .... and angry alien genes!

These are Zhulu and Zhul.
Genetically improved clones who travel trough the universe, using all their technology and knowledge in their attempt to create the perfect spawn.

They work separately and each one has their own lab and method, but they both must follow a common set of rules. 2 days, 3 donors, 3 generations and max. 10 spawns in total (one of the gen. had 4 kids, but JIC, I'm not entering the challenge at GOS)

Zhulu

Zhulu doesn't like women, (but he doesn't like men either). He only likes strong genes, and according to his research, females can't provide that as well as males do, so he decided to work only with males donors.

First, he selected Buzz Grunt.

His skin and eyes aren't the strongest, though, a good addition to the pool, but his features are what Zhulu wanted. Powerful and imposing.

The process is quick, and absolutely painless for the donor, who's only required for a brief period of time.

They may meet their spawns if so desire, but after that, they are promptly removed from the building, never to be allowed in again.

The spawn's aging is safely accelerated,

becoming toddlers just about an hour after their birth...

(the red-head in the back is Zhulu and Zhul's assistant, but he's only there to make sure all babies/toddler are well cared when needed)

And here's the first batch  generation of spawns.

Athena

Artemis

Apollo

The rest of their development is also accelerated,

but even in the rush Zhulu gives himself time to meet his children.

It is important to know them as they became teen, to help them choose their aspirations in life.

And so before the day is over, they are already adults.

"Hard to believe only, a few hours ago we were all just babies"

And Makeovers:

Athena

Artemis (I <3 HER!!)

And the handsome boy whose genes will go on:

Apollo

NOTE: Zhulu has pitch black eyes, and I didn't change them. Honestly I didn't think much of it at first until a while later, but I just never gave myself the time to actually change those for default alien eyes. I thought about doing a final makeover using at least maxis alien contacts, but it just never happened, so this bunch all have these very odd empty-eye-sockets looking eyes. ROFL

For the second generation, Zhulu picked Nathan Gavigan.

To his understanding, the donor's features and coloring are considered attractive amongst his peers,  and so they would improve the pool.

(Though, personally, Zhulu didn't care much for the guy)

This time of course, it was Apollo's turn to be the bearer ... of two sets of twins!

It was bound to be a long night,

but with both working together,

soon there were four little spawns crawling all over the floor.

Bhamini

Bhanuni

(both are too adorable!!)

Bandhu

and Bandhula (the most adorable thing ever!)

And growing up

Growing up so fast is exhausting, so it was time for a break dinning with relatives

before a round of final makeover for them.

Bhamini (adorable!!)

Bhanuni (gorgeous!)

Bhandu (not the prettiest, but he's kind of cool, imo)

And the handsome one whose genes will have the luck to go on:

Bhandula

And for the 3rd and last generation, Zhulu brought in Puck Summerdream for his exotic features.

He didn't expect however, to see his grandchild actually interacting and socializing with the donor,

who not only staid much longer that Zhulu wanted, but also helped and participated both during the birth and after.

They liked each other, Father.

Apollo tried to explained, but Zhulu couldn't understand that concept, and was relived to see the donor go and the experiment continuing as planned.

And these were the final three spawns.

Cairo

Caspian

Carmel

And growing up...

^_^

And makeovers!

Cairo (so handsome!)

Caspian (if he only had pointy ears!!! He'd be SO PERFECT!! <3 <3 <3)

And Carmel

Zhulu would never admit it out loud, but deep down he knew then that at the end, his more perfect creation .... was her!

(and she has like 35 personally points, btw! XD)

Random shot of the party at the end of the process. It was deserved ;)

Bhandula wasn't doing too well by then, though, I think he wondered if he would ever see Puck again .. awwww  :(

And that was the end of the first experiment.
I personally LOVE a lot of these sims in all 3 generations. They are amazing.
Starting with Buzz really helped fighting back Zhulu genes; Nathan added some softness and pretty; and Puck brought a really nice edge for the last generation.

-------------------
-------------------

Zhul
(I can't say Zhul was as successful as Zhulu, unfortunately, but let's see how she did.)

Zhul is determined to prove Zhulu wrong, so she had decided to use all female genes in her attempt.

First, she chose Stella Roth as she's supposed to be an attractive specimen (thought Zhul couldn't see it)

She didn't seem much interested in the situation or her spawns,

but Zhul doesn't need help.

Not even her assistant has much to do around...

And so the first group become toddlers

Acacia

Abedul

Aspen

They were all precious to her,

though perhaps not exactly what she anticipated.

Just like Zhulu, Zhul accelerates her spawn growing rate,

so soon they become playful and curious kids

Then the process continues (for some reason I don't have a pict of them as teens) until they are adults.

Makeovers:

Aspen

Abedul

And the one who'll become the mother of the next generation, Acacia

(Jic, I started using the maxis default contacts in some of these makeovers, especially in those sims with small alien eyes. They don't look too good in big alien eyes, tho, so those were left pitch black)

The next donor was Chastity Gere, as Zhul was fascinated for the varied range of skin color she would add to the pool

and she wasn't disappointed by the results on that aspect

however when it was time to see them grow...

the outcome didn't seem as oustanding

2nd generation spwans.

Basil

Bael

Borage

Burnet

Growing up...

and after makeovers

Basil

Bael

Borage

and the lucky one who's genes will go on: Burnet

It had been a long process, and though, Zhul care for each one of the spawns, she's is rather disappointed,

so for the last generation, she decided to pick a donor whose genes, thought no totally pure, are bound to be best than anyone else's...Chloe Curious-Smith an hybrid with red hair and the most perfect alien eyes you'll ever see

Yes, she's perfect! Zhul approves!

And so the last generation begins

And they quickly grew into promising toddlers

Cassia

Cherry

Ceylon

growing up...

I don't have a picture of all them as adult together, but here are the makeovers:

Ceylon

Cassia

and perfection ... I mean Cherry

I think I'm in love ;) and she happened to be the only Romance sim, out of all the 20 sims I grew up int his game. The aspiration just didn seem right for any of them except her. Chloe's daughter!  ^_^

And to finish, it was party time!!

(Personally, I like Cassia too. She's un-perfectly cute, imo and has such a cheerful personality.! <3)

These three siblings get along a little bit too well for comfort tho XD

And that was my second experience with this challenge.
I've been wanting to give it a last try, see if I can get better results with females only, but picking stronger faces. Starting with Stella was the worse choice, but I'm glad I decided to add Chloe at the end. ;)

This was too much FUN!!!  :D
(and btw, I'm not putting these sims for dl, but if anyone really wants any of them, just say so. I'll extract them)

genetics, random games, sim ramble, simdna
