I finally finished working on the House of Fallen Tricous Trees, which means I'm ready to start taking pictures for the next Remix update! YAY! :D
But first, a small tour ;)
Jic, I took all the pcitures with daylight to see them better, but there's something very wrong with my video card and I keep having problems with smooth edges, (like it would randomly turn off after a while, and then on again once I reload the lot), so some pictures look a lot better than others.
The outside:
I added one more floor on the top, so it has three floors now (one per family, set up as small apartments), plus the "basement" (or whatever you call that hole under house lol), but tried to keep the overall look as close as possible to the original. Also, windows and fences are darker green too, but that's pretty much it.
There're still headstones in the graveyard even though everyone (except Rainelle) has been resurrected, but I can't imagine this house without one (and there will be a, somewhat, logic, explanation for that, though there's nothing "logic" about this family backstory rofl)
Here is a shot of it at night!
And this, just because...
Now moving indoors:
Starting with the lower lever, The undead- lair.
I imagine Jon and Jennicor deserved a more habitable space there, as they probably spend a good amount of time on it while preparing to go in their coffins for the day, and especially when they just go out of them at nights. (The only thing bugging me was the lack of bathroom, but vampires barely even need it anyways, and there's one of the first floor)
Also these two are literally, the King and Queen of their lit' Tricou clan, and like living comfortably after going through a lot on their lives, (before and after dying, and then brought back to life... again) . And they keep their relationship and mutual love always alive, with lots of romanticism, passion, sharing ... and you get the picture. :P
Moving up, those long loooooooong stairs, to the first floor.
This is the communal area, where the whole family get together at evenings.
It's the only time of the day when they are all awake, so Jon has made (almost) mandatory for everyone to be at home after 7, or at least three to four times a week. It's especially hard for the teens, who would rather be hanging with their friends every day if possible, but no one in the family would dare to defiant the elders' norms. (For me, at least my take on them I mean, they are a bit like Italian mafia family, but with a darker edge lol)
There's also a bathroom under the stairs. I took part of the kitchen to add to the small bath, but you won't see any bathroom pics in this entry lol (hate working on those, so they basically just have a toilet and a shower. lol)
Moving along to the upper floors. (Like said before each floor is like a small apartment with all the basic needs a family requires to be comfortable.)
First is Jennail... (Isn't she always?? rofl, dunno why, but I've always had the idea that Jennail is the Tricou's favorite daughter, Nylissit however .... not so much!)
This is where her family lives most of the time. Their overall style is a bit more modern and it shows on their space, but they still manage to incorporate the classic look of the house and make it cohesive. (or Jon wouldn't aprove! lol It's their house! don't forget it!)
(Rith's room, obviously ^_^ He's the fav. grandchild, he can do whatever he wants there! XD)
(Kvornan/Jennail room... They like an asian touch.)
Then is Nylissit's family.
They prefer more earthy colors, but just like the previous floor, it incorporates the their own style with the house's.
(Gvau's room...)
(Kiernan/Nylissit's room. As you can see, it's much smaller than Jennail's lol)
AND...
The last floor is for the elders during the nights, after everyone has gone to sleep (what do you expect!? they won't stay in that hole all the time!!)
They can reach it by the stairs like everyone else, or flying through the terrace XD (well, you know, storytelling speaking, in game they would still need to fly up the stairs! lol)
So anyways, inside they have several small areas for reading, working, relaxing, even eating if they wish.
I was inspired by skellington7d's portraits and made them a small art corner as memory of their previous life. They have changed much since, and they are not into all that anymore, but they keep to remember when they were still young and alive!
And you may have noticed, but that bulky looking thing behind the yellow couch is one of those space-saver beds, so when the moment is right....
they just move the lit' couch aside and TARA! Instant bedroom! (because you, know, beds are not only to sleep on them :P)
I wanted to take a few picts with the actual sims on them, but I'll have enough of that when taking the actual screens for the story lol (and the lot is giving enough problems as it is as well). And, jic, the
Tricou makeovers are here if you haven't seen them. (Jon's outfit changed since, though)
And that's it for now.
I'll be attacking the Cordial's house for the "Do Not Touch" challenge tonight, so more soon! ;)
Have a great weekend!! :D
