The Swamp Thing, as an elemental, is a being first and foremost of spirit, of energy, and as a world elemental, that spirit extends through the multiversal Green, even as he manifests solid forms to interact with others. As he encounters new and different forms of communication between travelers, he adapts himself to them. Thus he is able, if others should wish to contact him, to hear their calls.
