Where: Bomber Base.
Who: Bomberman, Tokiko.
When: Approximately two years after finally coming home from the events of Bomberman 64: The Second Attack.
What: When talking with Professor Ein, Bomberman meets the newest addition to Bomber Base's elite task force team.
Status: Complete.
Bomberman made it early to Bomber Base the next day. He decided to drop by Professor Ein's office before his first class.
The good professor's office was located in the northern wing of the base, on the second floor. It overlooked Sector A-001, where the elite task force of Bomberman's year met for mission briefings and other such things. The office was well-lit, if on the small side (partly because of the overflowing bookcases).
Bomberman found the professor asleep at his desk, his laptop featuring a slideshow of pictures of Momo, a.k.a. Bomberman's grandmother. Bomberman sighed. "Professor," he said.
Ein didn't answer.
"Professor, wake up."
Ein let out a long snore.
Bomberman sighed again. If he's going to be difficult like that...
ZZZTT!
"GAH!" A well-aimed shock from a low-power lightning bomb brought Ein back into consciousness. "What the heck was that - ? Oh, good morning, Shirobon! What are you doing here?"
"Gotta ask you a question," Bomberman said, sitting down in the provided chair in front of Ein's desk. "Did either you or Jun - or anyone else, for that matter - send out promotional items to the elite task force lately?"
Ein looked surprised. "Not that I know of," he said. "I'm sure Jun hasn't done anything of the sort, either. We've been a little leery of accepting demo products from companies after that fiasco with the semi-sentient Swiss army knives. Why?"
Bomberman hesitated. If the Base hadn't sent anything out, maybe the CosmoJournal really had just chosen his name from a random pool of information. "Just curious. I know I've been missing meetings lately as a result of catching up on schoolwork, so I just wanted to know if I was out of the loop on anything."
The door buzzer sounded, signaling a visitor. Ein opened the intercom. "Who is it?"
"It's me, Professor." The voice was delicately female. "You wanted to talk to me about something?"
"Ah, yes, of course. Come on in." Ein unlocked the door.
The doors slid open to admit a lavender Bombergirl into the office. She had curious blue eyes and long black hair; she wore a pinkish-red bowtie, a plaid schoolgirl skirt, purple and black tights, and blinding pink rubber galoshes. Bomberman was no metrosexual, but even he knew that this particular outfit was something no living being in his or her right mind should wear.
Ein motioned. "Bomberman, meet Tokiko. She's the newest member to your task force team."
