Expecting the unexpected...

So ever since I started working in Japan my days have become a sort of routine filled with unexpected happenings haha!

I’m an English teacher for 2 and 3 year old babies... so we’re trying to get them used to a daily routine and learn as much as they can in English... but they’re babies and sometimes they don’t feel like listening to us teachers haha...

In our level, which is Early Learning we’re 5 teachers... 1 teacher for every 6 kids... so in total we have 30 students whose age ranges between 1 and 3 years old... I teach the older ones (2-3) hahah but they’re still young right... haha

So I try to be happy and energetic most of the times but kids are smart and they know when they can take advantage of you, so I also have to be stern and strict with them...

Anyway, since I'm relatively new (haha not very much... but still) I was kind of reluctant to take leadership of our class because one of my Japanese partners is SO good at it... so if she says anything I support her! BUT THIS WEEK...

THIS WEEK...

Oh... My... Goodness...

There's this disease going on in the school called Hands-Foot-Mouth Disease and though people say is not a dangerous disease it causes rashes in our hands, feet and mouth... and now 2 teachers from our level have caught it...

This means, I have to do all the Early Learning classes, all the Baby and Mom classes, all the classrooms cleaning... which is a LOT more that what I'm used to! I've never had such a hard week before...

On top of that, I hit myself twice in the same leg and now I have 2 big bruises and it hurts! hahaha

Anyway, I'm going to have to be EXTRA careful because I don't want to get any disease! ANY! haha but specially not this HFMD because I don't like to have rashes or anything in my skin... just thinking about it makes me itchy!!

Let's see how this week ends...

Enjoy your week and weekend!
