This past weekend.....

This weekend was awesome. I'm gaining alot of perspect on the days to come. And through this window things are looking pretty damn good. Saturday David came over to "meet the folks" we grilled out, swam in the cold ass pool, and just chilled. It was really great Mom and Dad love David, I think they especailly like how good he is to me.

After we decided that the pool was just too damn cold, Mom got on one of her road trip streaks and we ended up going to Red River Gorge. David was amazing. The typical guy would have flipped at the thought of going out to the woods with complete strangers, strangers who happen to be his girls parents. But he wasn't at all, in all honesty he had a way better time then I did. The Gorge was very pretty, and I enjoyed all the bonding. But let it be known that I am not a country girl. I don't do well outdoors, trails, poison ivy, sybridges made of rock with a 3,000 foot plumit, all those things are just not me. But I love that David accepted that. At the waterfall he made sure that I was ok and that I got up the rocks ok. At the skybridge, where I was deathly affraid of the height, he stayed with me the entire time. He is beyond good to me.

After we got back from the Gorge, we decided on a nice family game of poker. Tony came over and we got to hang with him, which is always good times. After we took Tony to his car, David and I finally got some alone time. It was good just to have him to myself for a bit.

Today Mom and I fixed Dad breakfast in bed. He opened his gifts with much delight and we all sat down to watch the race. However the race became delayed and we all got to do our own thing. Around six I went out to see David and meet his parents. They are lovely people, and it was really goo meeting them. We ran around georgetown a bit and then decided to go to Hamburg to catch the Da vinci code which I still hadn't seen. The movie was ok, nothing like I expected, but thats hollywood for you.

My weekend was perfect.
