As I was finishing up my lunch at work today, Mary gave me a call. She asked me if I thought it was a really nice day and I agreed that it was. Then she asked me if I'd like to come home and ride bikes with her. That's probably the least arm-twisting that's ever been needed to get me to leave work early!
It was a fine idea on her part. We just got back a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, Katy couldn't go because her knee is bothering her. Mary and I completed two laps around the circle so if you include riding up and down our street to get to the circle, that was a total of around 3.6 miles. Not a record by any means, but it was fun being out there with the sun on my face and the wind in my....helmet. That doesn't sound as poetic as "wind in my hair," but it's much safer.
Our next objective of the afternoon is to go see Ghost Rider. I just finished checking in at work to make sure I wasn't needed for anything. So far, so good.
