A different kind of Monday

I'm working from home today. The original plan was to only work about 4 hours but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to stick with the plan exactly. There have been some very minor problems at work, but I'm getting the usual amount of help (read: none) from the person that should be backing me up. I think I've gotten everything taken care of now. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.

I have also spent some time today getting the checkbooks caught up and getting some of the bills paid. I'll get the rest paid tomorrow night.

Mary has been in an up-and-down mood today. She went down to the basement and seemed to be in a down phase so I went down there and played air hockey for a little while. I did have one work interruption, but it didn't take too long and I went back down for a couple more games before I tired out. The old man won either 4 games to 5 or 5 games to 6. I don't remember which. Anyway, she seemed to be much happier by the time we were done.

After the air hockey, I went up in the attic to look for an old AC/DC poster Mary had seen when looking for Christmas decorations. While looking for it, I ran across a lot of my old high school stuff. I found some old concert ticket stubs and my very first photo album from when I first got my 35mm camera. Calliope start flipping through the album trying to show the girls funny pictures of my hair. (She found some.) We got into a section that had a lot of pictures of my first girlfriend, Stacey, including the picture of Stacey that I took of her in a bubble bath! Ahh! Good times, good times! The girls just raised the eyebrows and said, "I see." If they only knew what a willing model Stacey was for me. ;)

This weekend was incredibly tiring, but also fun, interesting, and challenging. Calliope and I took a weekend long training class in how to facilitate the adult O.W.L. (Our Whole Lives) curriculum for our congregation. The training was at the First UU church of Nashville which I discovered I had unknowingly driven by many times because it's actually very close to the office. Anyway, we met some great people and crammed almost 20 hours of class time between Friday evening and early Sunday afternoon. We were wiped out!
