as i walk through the streets of my new city...
Christmas break is upon me once again.
Did super well this past semester. Deans list finally! I dont think I have made that since I was at Macomb, a few years back.
I have been a little bored, but thats because my friends down here were still in school this past week, but this next week seems promising!
I bought a new burroughs book yesterday, and I am making good progress on it. he is such a good writer, and I enjoy every page i read! Sedaris is also a favorite of mine. I am so jealous of people who can be so good with words, so witty, i love a dry sense of humor. I love to read things that involve just daily activities, and how they can just point out the weirdness in them .
I broke down tonight and bought tickets to go see FUN. in Feb. This will be my 3rd time since last Nov. seeing them. I just cant seem to get enough! I have managed though to get a few friends hooked on them too, so hopefully i wont be the only one singing along this time. :)
Im looking forward to christmas. im sad that my mom is working though, its just not the same when shes not there. but my break is long, and we will enjoy family time on some other day.
My dad has some free passes to the DIA , so im making him take me down there. I love that place, its so calming just to walk around and look at the art, and all the different things they have there. I think as i get older i appreciate this stuff more, well that really goes without saying, cuz what 10 year old would really enjoy looking at some big piece of wood that was taken from some church in italy in the 1700's. but i sure enjoy it now!
