I've become blind, have I lost my mind?

Using your iPod, MP3 player, or Windows Media Player, put your favourite playlist on Shuffle and answer the following for each song as they come up:

1. Ayreon - Across the rainbow bridge

Your favourite lyric from this song:
run run the past is gone, it cannot be undone
run run the future is here, our fate is drawing near

Does this song have any bad memories attached?
Uh-huh, not really. Actually, a pair of you may recall that one of Maitrian Land's old sections wore this title... I think it involved art (*snorts).

What genre is this song?
Progressive metal, dude :P

2. Editors - An end has a start

What is the last line of the song?
You came on your own...

Have you ever seen this artist live?
Oh yes :) Amazing, those lads. What a fierce, exhausting live act *____* And this songs kind of kills me.

Who does this song make you think of?
Oh dear. Stuff I wouldn't write about on this LJ, I'm afraid :)

3. Gary Moore - Hiroshima

What is the first line of this song?
They still remember the day when Little Boy dropped from his womb.

Where did you first hear this song?
Back when I was little, my dad bought this amazing double LP with a compilation of Gary Moore's hard rock hits. This one's a truly beast!!

How about the first time you heard this artist?
Woah. I don't remember. His music has been around like forever. My dad got into jazz, blues and classical quite a lot back in the 80's and Gary Moore was/is an amazing bluesman. I was so thrilled to see him live a few months ago...

4. NIN - All the love in the world

What friend could this be a theme song for?
Believe me, I don't know. I would if I figured out the hidden sense of Trent's lyrics... Anyroad, just like deirathul, I am not feeling well-intended today :P

Write down the chorus:
Why do you get all the love in the world?

(now, that's quite original, Trent... ¬¬ xD).

Why do you like this song?
As I said back in the days when With Teeth was finally (finally!) launched, this song is pretty normal until the instrumental bit after 3:18 aprox. Right from there, it becomes a mind-blowing masterpiece.

5. The Music - Fire

What kind of film would you choose this as a theme for?
Epic and violent!

Who introduced you to this group?
__rain, and I stole their last album from deirathul's PC for my ipod. An incredible bunch of songs, I have to say. Incredible.

What is your favourite part of this song?
The beginning, it's so furious and catchy I could jump right through the end of the song thanks to it. Woah!

6. Radiohead - All I need

The fourth line reads:
Trapped in your hot car.

How long is this song?
3:48

Is this song one of your favourites? Why or why not?
YES. I was in the verge of tears the first time I heard it. And I found out during my recent trip to Madrid that it gets so much better if you listen to it in a train at night. Believe me. It was the last song I heard right before stepping outta the train and I've never felt more relieved and calm after listening to something...

7. Oasis - To be where there's life

How long have you been listening to this artist?
Huh... I guess I truly started listening to them the summer of '97. I attended an English summer camp and our teacher was a huge Oasis fan. I also became a fan because of him... Be here now was released that summer and the rest is history, I guess...

What's the cover of the album this song came from?

What's this song about?
I think it is about real resolution and braveness, above everything :)

Mañana os contaré cosas más jugosas ;)

musik, catarsis, memes
