From what you've seen, how do other people become Kept?

[aldersprig]

And how do people avoid becoming Kept?

[aldersprig]

I... don't know.

/Jovanna frowns at her feet/ I mean, some people seem to have managed not to.

Do they have other problems?

Well, Shang doesn't know anything, and Ciara's being stalked. At least, when you have a Keeper, they manage to protect you from - well, look at Who - from everyone but themselves, usually.

Well, he doesn't know about Keeping, or Promises, or Theshholds, or the graduation requirements. Anything. I'm surprised he knows he'd fae. Maybe he doesn;t.

I'd like to think his Mentor has had a chat with him, he does have one, doesn't he?

I... don't know. I suppose he must have,.

I guess they would have had to. I dunno, nobody pushed me except. Well. Them.
