Taking prompts again... on a general theme of gender, sexuality, and how they go funky.
I'll write at least 150 words on everything I get between now and this time tomorrow. And, as always, tipping guarantees more wordage - and helps me buy the lovely giraffe carpet. For more information, my Donor landing page is

Spring was coming. I could feel it; the days just around the season changes are strange for me, wild, and fluid. Lucky, clever for me to have fallen into a career that allowed for this, but this year the fest had decided to run an extra week long. Winter was fading from me, even here in the heat of Georgia, and, more importantly, the male was slipping away, soon to be gone until summer.
I had expected to be on the road by then, and thus hadn't complained when Juliana had invited herself into my bed. She was lovely, sweet, the way her freckles danced across her corseted-up cleavage, the sparkle in her green eyes, the firmness of her hands. I thought about leaving early, but this fest was one of my most profitable, and the autumn had been rather lean. I needed the money. I would have to risk it.
Like all good rennies and pagans and other such margins of society, we drank in the turning of the season, sang it in with a raucous bonfire. In the flickering light and the passing beer, my body shifted, as it did every season, from male to female. I kissed my Juliana, hoping she wouldn't notice, and knew from her hand on my breast that she had.
She turned the grope into a caress, grinning at me, the firelight turning her eyes to agate. "You silly woman," she teased. "I was at GenCon."
"That was in the summer," I protested.
"Aaah, but MonsterCon was not, nor the Massachusetts Ren Faire. I've been wondering," she admitted, "when you would tell me."
"Well," I grinned, relief and the drink making me giddy, "silly woman, you should have asked."
