i've been meaning to make this post for more than a week, but i kept putting it off since i wanted to compile more recs. however, RL has been very busy lately, so i haven't been able to generate as large a recslist as i originally wanted :( i hope you'll enjoy whatever i did manage to put together though ♥
first, a someecard:
i know a lot of my flisters were hit quite hard by the snowpocalypse, so i hope you've all dug yourselves out by now. luckily toronto didn't receive as much precipitation as predicted, although surrounding regions were affected badly. we had very low temperatures and a couple of days of snow, so it was just like regular canadian winter weather :P

JARED LOOKING HOT IN HIS MINIMAL LAYERS! fff these pics make me so happy ♥__♥ eta: turns out these pics are shopped. jdm and j2 arrived at the bar separately, and some pap decided to shop the stars together. what an assmunch. anyway, they still all look very adorable, and it makes me weirdly happy that they watched the superbowl together :P
4) jensen walking post: hee, he looks a little douchey in that hat but the leather jacket and the shades = unf as usual :D
5) so apparently jared said [at sfcon?] that he's been cast for john woo's upcoming imax movie about the wwii flying tiger heroes. it doesn't look like the project has been green-lit yet, and jared might not even have a big role, but in any case, i'm keeping my fingers crossed :D you can find some info about the movie here.

1) the family business by gikun
: gen. a godfather-inspired take on spn characters. everyone looks fabulous, and the new logo is amazing!
2) fear by petite_madame
: dean. what a lovely illustration of his face. the emotion of fear is definitely palpable.
3) ritual by petite_madame
: sam. of course this is technically brilliant, as all of this artist's works are, but what i liked best were the backstory, the notes and the little doodle. they made the entire illustration more relateable and in-character for me :)
4) clean up by spacefragments
: dean/castiel. this is quite nsfw so be sure you check it in an appropriate place! it features comeplay which i adoooooore in fic and art, and that peek of castiel's tongue on dean's fingers was enough to ding my hand!kink too :P and and and i haven't checked the original prompt to verify, but the vision of castiel in dean's clothes makes me think a) they're either sharing clothes or b) have recently gone shopping - again, TWO KINKS OF MINE. so yehhhhhhhhh, i love this art. i do, i do!

2) terry jones adapting good omens into a tv series: YES, YES, YES! looks like it's going to be a 4-part series. i am so stoked. so stoked! also, i love the pic of sir pterry and neil gaiman in the article. it's adorable - that's aziraphale and crowley right there! ♥
3) jgl in talks for the dark knight rising: OH GOD, PLEASE. PLEAAAAAAAAAAAASE. HE'D BE THE PERFECT ADDITION WITH TOM HARDY AS BANE AND ANNE HATHAWAY AS SELINA KYLE. according to the rumours, he'll play a villain [but not the riddler, who nolan has confirmed will not appear in this movie].
4) wikileaks nominated for nobel peace prize: this is exciting news, even though i'm pretty sure wikileaks won't win the award.
5) albino model stephen thompson dresses up as david bowie: what an attractive man ♥ his givenchy campaign was just as awesome.
6) lady gaga's vogue cover leaked: it could be cooler but i still like it. especially since she has my haircut, and my highlights have now faded to that shade of pink ♥
7) incredibly accurate stages of twitter behaviour: amusing, and so very very true!
8) catholic church okays new iphone app for confessions: yep, that's right. you'll still need to get absolution from a priest, but you can now confess to your app. as gawker put it, at least they didn't name the app "a priest in your pocket".
9) new facebook app tells college applicants what their chances are: dude, this gave me anxiety even though i haven't been an undergrad for a long time! yikes! good app though.
10) startup launched to save men from giving bad valentine's day gifts: this is a pretty nifty service. i wouldn't mind using it ;)
11) 100 sled dogs slaughtered: this is such incredibly upsetting news :( apparently a particular company miscalculated the post-olympic demand for these dogs, and needed to get rid of them. the man responsible for the deaths was sub-contracted, and apparently suffers from ptsd but i can't forgive his inhumane methods OR the company's oversight in hiring such a person in the first place. ARGH. SO MUCH RAGE AND DISGUST.
