this past weekend was fun even if it started on an offensive note [dealing with racists is never fun, yo]. but i managed to see
the bf before he left for his last semester in london [that's ontario for the n00bs on my flist], partied with several friends, and quickly got addicted to batman: arkham asylum thanks to
ava's new ps3 move and hugeass tv :D
i also put together a recs & linkspam post, woo. i still have a dozen or so fics at the top of my to-read list and i'm sure i'll have PLENTY more now that blindfold_spn† has started, but you'll have to make do with the following until i have time to compile the next set of links ;)

: wincest. in which dean has to tend to sam's ghoul-inflicted wounds, and is then repaid in a most enjoyable manner. unf, sam can do those things to me any day he wishes.

: wincest. a ficlet about a lot of sam's firsts, with the kind of angsty unrequited love that i enjoy very much.

: wincest. i like the simmering angst and the desperation in the smutty scenes. hits so many of my beloved wincest tropes.

: j2 au. as a rule, i usually don't like high school or college!AUs but still end up reading a fair number of them b/c the trope is fandom's darling. i have absolutely no regrets about reading this particular fic though, since it has a nice balance of humour, pining, ust and an ending that pleased me greatly. can't wait to read more rpf by this author :D

1) rescue series - part 1 by spacefragments
: dean. this is visceral, disturbing and heart-rending. i love the bold strokes and slashes of colour.
2) like a big dog by aka2562
: dean & sam. hehehehe this is such an adorable and accurate depiction of the winchesters :D lollers, dean! and poor sam, having to put up with that! i love the colours and the artist's particular style since it cheers me up so effectively.
3) wet boys by leyla_lovely
: wincest. oh, the boys just look so pretty here. the colours are all rosy and and inviting and i'm completely riveted by sam's loooooong fingers *___*
4) untitled by daggomus_prime
: dean/castiel. this artist has a particular style that i enjoy muchly. her faces usually don't closely resemble the characters, but the overall effect is still aesthetically pleasing. i love the poses and the mood of this particular illustration.
