i feel like fandom is going to be divided on tonight's episode of supernatural. one half will have enjoyed it a lot due to edlund's cracky humour and the new characters, while the other half will have hated it for the plot points introduced and/or rehashed. i'm somewhere in the middle. i love love love almost all the eps edlund has written, and i ( Read more... )

Balthazar! You know you shouldn't like him, but it was kind of hard not to love him. I find it interesting that Castiel would be good friends with him. Interesting in a good way, obviously, and if there's fic about it all the better. I also thought Gabriel and Crowley would fit nicely with him.

Castiel made my life with this episode. The air quotes almost had me wetting myself. What a sarcastic attitude you've got yourself there, Cas. I love it! Obviously too much time around Dean and the stress of the angels has finally started to take its toll on the poor thing. But I do love it when he's angry.

I was a bit 'wtf' over Raphael losing his meat suit, it somehow seemed perfect for him, and the bringing up of the apocalypse was a bit tiresome. They don't need that on top of the angel war.

God! The start of the episode was nothing but a porno. A damn good one. They should get naked and sweaty more often, it looks good on everyone.

I love Dean being a dad figure to Ben, does things to me that I should never speak of. Sam really is being the biggest dick ever, and it's doing my head in. Dean's always had the worst of everything and he's not gone and lost all of his morals, so answers concerning Sam would be grand.

sorry for the late comment:

yeh, i love the idea of castiel being friends with balthazar because they're obviously such different people. was balthazar more straight-laced? was castiel more fun-loving? or did they complement each other perfectly due to their differences?

castiel was definitely one of the most entertaining parts of this ep. i'm hoping the return of the apocalypse will be on the back burner now that a few weeks have passed and we haven't heard anything more about it. i guess we'll see raphael returning though b/c didn't balthazar specifically mention something about him needing a new vessel?
