As no doubt you've noticed, I've not been around much. Now that winter is over, I need to take advantage of the weather to work on the yard, gardens, and generally get outside ( Read more... )

I know what you mean by fast evenings! I get home, I have to decide how I'm going to spend my remaining hours, and they fly by. :( Well, as you explained in your e-mail, I'm in awe over how much gardening you need to do, over how much work it takes!

Better coworkers is a plus. :D Have a safe trip out there! Keep cool, too, ha, ha, though I heard there was a little bit of snow briefly, according to her. :O

Gah, I can't believe we leave in just two days! Sorry, I don't think I'll get to your email before then. I'll send you one after the trip with all sorts of fun details instead! :)

The gardens are getting easier now, at least, now that most of everything is at least planted. I've been filling in with cut grass too, to reduce the need for weeding. We haven't done much work on our huge remodeling project, though. How are you doing with all your work?

Thank you! I wouldn't mind snow right now...is it humid where you are? The humidity is what gets to me here. It'll be interesting to be in a place where it's hot but not humid. I bet they don't even have mosquitoes down there!!!!!! :O

D'oh! That reminds me: still haven't written about the trip or done anything with pictures... *sigh* I'll see what kind of time I can scrounge up in the next week.

Yep, I'm already not doing as much with the gardens--tending them, mostly, letting them grow and harvesting peas. Still digging up some of the yard to make room for more gardens, but definitely have slowed down.

How'd the branding go? I hope your vicinity wasn't badly flooded with all the rain last month!

We saw one snake the whole time we were hiking, and it slithered off quickly upon noticing us. Otherwise, no snakes or scorpions. I guess they come out mostly at night because of the heat.

No worries! Take your time. Enjoy your time outside. :) It's hard to believe we're approaching August already.

Branding went well! Nope, thankfully.

That's good, and I will definitely not go hiking at night if I get to go there in the future, lol.
