a sudden windfall?
One of Christian's cousins is moving back to Alabama/South Carolina (sounds like the latter one first, then the former one). They only lived up here maybe two years, and his wife couldn't handle the cold winters--migraines and such. I'm sure there's more to it than just weather--the North and the South have very different cultures.
Anyway, they're selling us most of their stuff for super cheap! A couch, loveseat, two end tables, TV stand, rugs, bookshelf, computer desk, and more. All this for around $700 only. So we may finally get some furniture in the basement and get our TV off our coffee table and so on.
We are actually talking about renting a truck or a trailer to haul all the stuff in...which we didn't even do when we moved from our apartment to our house.
Too bad his cars are big SUVs, 'cause it'd've been nice to buy one and finally get that "to-do" task done. But alas, Christian isn't off the hook that easily. (I refuse to own a gas guzzling SUV.)
My sister and mom left this morning for Arizona, where my sister is working for the summer. They're driving out there, and my mom will fly back home. We're also planning to visit my sister in about a month. I need to get on buying plane tickets and researching what we'll do!
