...but I can't handle staring at a computer screen much longer. Been working on two enormous spreadsheets all week; just spent an hour inserting extra lines between entries so I can fill them up with more copy and pasted data. Head. Aches.
At least I have some music to keep me company for two and a half hours. =) That means three plays a day with a recap of the favorites before I leave. Well, if I want to hate the music by the end of a week. @_@ Still, Mikuni Shimogawa does wonders to cheer up a soul. Thanks for lending me your jump drive, Li'l Chap!
Anyway, a tale that sums up how my life works:
(previous Sunday)
Me: I have Friday off!
Christian: Me too. Want to hang out?
Me: Sure, I don't do anything anymore.
Christian: Me neither. I'll call you tomorrow or tonight.
No calls Sunday or Monday or even Tuesday. And I, well, am too lazy to call him. (I'm pretty lazy about keeping up with many friends lately. Gomenesai. *bows*)
Tuesday, Superviser: Can you work this Friday? (read: no more Fridays off) It's all right if you have plans, but we're getting busy and could use the help.
Me: ...Yes, it shouldn't be a problem.
(Because I learned not to expect so much out of people. Can't expect people to act like me, either. So I know if I PLAN to have the day off to hang out, that's when it won't happen. Therefore, since I had just messed with the plans, I knew they'd still be expected. It's true. It's how it is in this one's life.)
Wednesday, Christian: Still on for Friday, right?
Me: ... *headdesk*
So I bargained to have tomorrow off. But that means I'm taking work home to get in eight hours wherever I can squeeze it in. This resurrects my detestation of homework. Well, I did an extra hour today, so just seven more to go...
If I talk more about work, it'll bore you, no doubt. But just look at this overdose of prepositional phrases that can screw up the meaning: "my children living at my death from my marriage to said spouse."
...You could interpret that badly.
Consider me nonexistent for a good while. Extremely busy and always making myself busier. Japan's really not worth this. Just sheer obdurateness keeping me going now. Haha, my choice. No more complaining. ^_^ I'd get into trouble if I had too much free time.
