As a temp, I usually don't get any of the perks that the company gives its employees--free stuff, free food, INSURANCE, etc--but today I wrangled some pizza with my sister.
In Minnesota, there's a matter of pride in talking about the weather. So I must boast about our cold (yes, those in Canada may laugh). Arctic winds are traveling across the state and we've had minus fifty and lower with wind chills. Our high temperature today is only minus three. ♥ Minnesota!
Okay, I've been busy. I collected a motley assortment of people (Christian, Lyncy, Dan, and most unlikely, Kou), chose specific taste-bud savoring recipes (yakitori, shrimp tempura, miso soup, wasabi broccoli, and a rice and vegetable dish), and started unburying the basement room. Tomorrow is my Japanese feast night with my friends. I plan to take photos of the food and everything and share them. Now that I made a new photobucket account, I can!
Tonight I have to finish cleaning out the room downstairs and stockpiling blankets for everyone (I have the heater ready to blast, too). And tomorrow I'll have to get busy cooking as soon as I get home! Mmm, I can hardly wait.
