deja vu

Sometimes your life feels like a broken record or one of those dreams where you're in a hallway that extends forever.

But there are new developments that I will speak of first:

-Renewed my driving permit after all and am planning once again to take the dang test and be done with it.

-Mailed my letter to Japan today. Here's hoping for good news.

-Have two bridal showers this weekend as well as hanging out with a friend and going horseback riding with my cousin. Ought to be thrilling, I suspect.

-Cut my hair Azumi style...but my hair is not Azumi's, so it's not as cool. Passable, though.

-Decided Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is really the main martial art I want to learn. Its entire basis is my root reason for wanting to learn martial arts in the first place, so I'm reading a book that's teaching me more about it until I can join a gym sometime.

-Been studying Shantiveda's The Way of the Bodhisattva to better live my life (and I've been doing such a better job of always being cheerful it's amazing when I think of what I was like at school). Also been reading Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

-Discovered I might have part-timer's insurance at work and must ask some questions regarding this.

And in the repeated section, we have a return to studying Japanese, working nights all this week at the deli, hot and humid and drought weather, shattered resurrected hopes that just won't stay dead, a determination to catch up with everyone and everything online, and gardening.
