Well, Im back. Its been awhile but its not like it really matters, no one reads this anyway. :P
Anyhoo! A lot has been going on since my last entry. Schools out! Summer has started! And i've already gotten three sunburns!
A-kon 21 in Dallas was a success. Mrs.Jana, Devin, Bambi and I went together, and some parts of it was, to say the least, AWKWARD~! Mrs. Jana (Bambi's madre) is a good christian lady who enjoys a quiet life out in the country, and if any of you have been to an anime convention, you would know that it practically spelled disaster. Some of the elevator rides were ... tense.
We were on the 22 floor of the hotel, going down to level 4 on the elevator when mr. dick-in-a-box joins us. ...O.o;; I of course had to hold in my laughter, it was a rather ingenious costume, however not everyone thought so. Our "adult/gardian" didn't look too happy. In fact i dont think that anyone who looked like they just sucked on a juicy lemon looks very happy... The look on Mrs. Jana's face will always be one of my fond memories! >,< If only I had had my camera in hand!
Another enjoyable experience was at night, when we were looking for the rave. We found it eventually, but it wasnt at all what we had been hoping for. Mrs.Jana decided to start asking around for something else to do. Well, there was a line leading into one of the rooms. She asked a girl in line what it was for. It was a Yaoi/Yuri fest. When Mrs.Jana asked what that was, the girl in line got this hilarious look on her face. How are you supposed to explain to a stranger what Yaoi and yuri are? It was so funny, but of course we shuffled Mrs. Jana out of there pretty fast and gave her a BS explanation of what yaoi and yuri was. The look on that poor girls face really was priceless though! :DDD
We had all gone to A-kon 20 last year with Devin's mom (who is rather crazy, in a good, just had a generous glass of wine, kind of way)so we weren't quite so overwhelmed with everything. I think the elevator rides were the best. You can meet some very interesting people.
I've been working a lot more lately. Its summer, your supposed to get a summer job. Besides, I need the money to pay off my new laptop (which I am using right now!), save up for a car, and save up for A-kon 22.
Speaking of cars, I cant believe I still dont have one. Yeah, its not like everyone gets a car right away, but seriously! I need to buckle down and buy one! All of my class have gotten cars (whether from their rich daddy's or from working for it.) I honestly dont really want one at the moment, too troublesome, but its kinda necessary when you live 30 minutes away from any form of civilization. I'll just buy a clunker, those cars have character.
Went to my Dad's church today for father's day. My Lord! Now I remember why we only ever do that once a year! You could see half the people were falling asleep while the other half were tending to squalling infants. I didnt think church music could make you depressed either, but apparently its a church of miracles! *huff* The singing in the right tune was, ...lacking. One person behind me kept changing tune up and down through a whole song. It was the most annoying experience of my life. And we get to do it again next year!!! yay~~~! (kill me, please. >.>)
Lulz, these are the little things that make up life I guess. :]
