NATIONALS:
This past weekend was so much fun!
I drove with Kerry's fam. We drove to Cincinnati because we got there early so we got to look around, Cincinnati looks EXACTLY like Pittsburgh...it was a little deja vous-y.....But it was nice.
Then we went to the race site. It was on some sort of lake, so we got to go swimming. It was ridiculously hot and humid. There was a huge thunderstorm, it was fun, Neil's hair was standing up....exciting....
Then we went to the hotel. Meg and I discovered that we had a beautiful, clean and fun room all to ourselves. Then the team tried to go to Applebees but the wait was too long, instead we went to Cracker Barrel. I was scared. Everyone in there was on the edge of being morbidly obese. But anyways.
Then the next day, we had to get up at 6, Meg and Kerry raced. They came in like 3rd?? I can't remember and I feel really bad... Then Drew and Hammy raced, then the lightweight boys boat raced. They all did alright, they all had to go to repachage...(It's French apparently, I guess it means like "row again" or "go again".... which is why they keep it in French...). Then we went back to the hotel and I showered, thank God. Meg, Alex Davis and I went with Drew and his mom to Cincinnati and everyone met at this Bavarian Beer Garden. A guard at the gate put RIDICULOUSLY HUGE X's on our hands. Then all the parents sat at two tables, while the rowers sat at another and made the waitress get about 12 glasses of chocolate milk. I was a little frightened to get back to the hotel seeing as the parents all seemed a little tipsy (haha, just kidding...well sort of....), but then Drew said his mom never drinks so we rode with them again. It was plesant. Then Meg and I went to bed.
I had barely seemed to fall asleep when the alarm went off at 4:45... that's right, we neeeded to get up at 5. Meg and Kerry left because they had to race first. Then Will and Dick Yokum (hahaha) drove me to the race site. I didn't even know how fast we were driving because Will's speedometer only goes to 90... Then Dick Yokum mistook me for Kerry because he never looked in the backseat during the entire ride. Then I had pancakes...then Meg and Kerry eventually came in 12th overall in their catergory, so that was cool. (I'm really sorry, I don't remember how they boys did)...
Then I went home. The end.
FINALS:
-I hate finals... Blah... but German was the easiest final I have ever taken. I seriously think that Mrs. G put together some worksheets that we have done throughout the year. It was pretty funny.
-But today I took the first day of the English final. It wasn't too bad. The listening one was alright. The second wasn't bad either, but I did really badly on it because I had to pee SO BADLY and I hate having to make someone escort me. So basically, my second essay was really rushed. But that's okay, I still have two more essays have to write, and hopefully they'll make up for the other.
SUMMER:
-Oh, I love it, yet I hate it. I get so bored so easily. Today was the official start of summer for me, because I ended up lying around, and I hate when I do that.
-And I'm really worried because I had to get a job. So Mrs. O'brien set me up with the music camp in Canandaigua. I thought that it was going to be like whatever, and it would be nice. However, the other day, my mom informed me that it is a musical camp for "Troubled" children. Now I am frightened. I am really bad with kids to begin with, what am I going to do?? Ugh, so now I'm really worried.
-I am also really worried that I am not going to be physically prepared for Peak Experience and everyone is going to hate me... ugh....
-I had been planning out how I was going to have a really productive summer. I was going to teach myself ukelele, I was going to concentrate more on bassoon, and I was going to work REALLY HARD on piano, because I don't want everyone in Jazz Band to hate me for being really bad. However, right now I am procrastinating, this is a bad sign... I hope I can get some of this done...
-Also, today, my mom began lecturing me on how I should go sculling. She wants me to go sculling with Meg and Kerry during their practices with Will. But I don't want to do that because I am just going to slow them down... And she doesn't want me to go sculling alone, so I don't know what I am going to do...
But whatever... maybe I'll go do something productive...
See ya
