Seeing as its Christmas pretty bloody soon, I think I'll make an update (not in order) on whats been going down over the last week or so before we all disappear off the internet for a day or two.
Sara had a small old school type gathering, which was pretty cool. Got pretty bloody pissed and generally had a laugh, but it would have been cool if more of the gang were there.
Robin had the boys round for a poker evening, which needless to say I lost pretty quickly, but was a laugh. Then got a bit sketchy when we had a couple of spliffs and Robin passed out / collapsed two or three times, but he's okay now which is good. We all felt fine though, which was more than a bit strange.
Tonight I went to Josh's church gig type thing, which was actually quite fun, spent most of the time watching their china obsessed drummer, who is pretty good. Was pretty cheesy in general, but hey its Christmas. Walked back with Matt and Mr Annoying aka Terry Hobden (?), who is quite possibly the most irritatingly unpleasent person I have met. Matt managed to shoot him down in spectacular style though:
"Yeh man I'm gonna live in feudal Japan blah blah blah its amazing blah blah blah"
"What about zinc?"
"What?"
"Without zinc you wouldn't have computers, phones, weapons or men made of zinc? WHAT ABOUT THE ZINC MEN?"
pwnd.
Got a nice new (Chicken Mariana) sub, got home and decided I couldn't be arsed going all the way down the road to Loz's party, but then have stayed up for bloody ages doing fuck all.
Recently I have been watching some pretty cool films (Garden State & Closer) at Andys, which has fed my new obsession of Natalie Portman, seeing as that gorgeous girl in my form group is apparently taken. Both films are pretty good, especially Garden State.
Today I went to Andys (to watch Closer) and Tims (to listen to the Architects album, un mixed and minus vocals - very tech).
I'm actually really looking forward to Christmas (Jimmy Eat World's cover of Last Christmas <3), not only for the presents but also for chilling out for a few days and generally having a nice time, cos Christmas is actually really good. Hopefully I'm getting a USB MP3 player, as well as some books and some other things. I'm really looking forward to going up to my cousin's house in Leeds, as I actually love it there, and it should be some proper 'family' type things (Christmas day is usually just me and my mum) which will hopefully be great.
My new years resolutions (yeah I know I won't keep them) are going to be:
Work harder = revise enough to get at least ABB A levels so I can go to Sheffield, cos I can easily do it if I work hard enough
Party harder = go to parties more (ie dont turn them down like tonight!) and generally try to get out and see my friends a bit more.
Hope you all have lovely Christmases
