I was watching Ratatouille today. It gave me a sudden overwhelming urge to eat crepes.
So I looked a recipe up online and made it. Whole-wheat flour huge slightly-overcooked crepe plus honey, whipped cream and blueberries = not completely terrible.
I should indulge in my urges to actually cook for myself more often. Although the last time, the random stir-fry I made was too salty from the soy sause. And too oily from the olive oil.
It's funny, the way Pixar inspires me. Toy Story tends to get me in a nostalgic mood and brings me back to my older toys, A Bugs Life makes me more aware of nature and gives me more respect for other living creatures, Ratatouille makes me want to cook, Up makes me want to indulge myself in my inner child and go have an adventure (and find a talking-dog collar for my own fuzzies), Finding Nemo makes me want to be adopted by Ellen DeGeneres because of her sheer AWESOMENESS, The Incredibles makes me want to... gain superpowers and do things that are awesome, and Monsters Inc... does something. And then Wall-e makes me want to find someone to cuddle and hug and love and GO INTO SPACE.
Regardless of all this. Pixar, you as a collective entity are a filmmaking genius. You not only entertain, you inspire, and I hope the love and effort you put into each and every product never diminishes.
We'll just ignore Cars.
